National Productivity Centre Holds National Productivity Summit 2024 May 14, 15

The National Productivity Centre NPC will be organising its annua productivity summit for 2024 in Abuja.

The summit, scheduled for May 14th, Tuesday, and 15th, Wednesday 2024, will take place at the  NAF Conference Centre, Abuja.

The theme of this year's event, according to the organisers, will be "Achieving Higher Productivity and National Development by Leveraging on Science, Technology and Innovation."

The National Productivity Summit is a unique policy dialogue organized by the National Productivity Centre (NPC) in collaboration with Pan African Association of Small & Medium Industries (PAOSMI) to bring together stakeholder, experts, and policy makers to develop strategies for increasing productivity and the 2024 Summit will serve as a platform for in-depth discussions and actionable recommendations on how to leverage on Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) for higher productivity and National Development.

 This can in turn boost productivity across key sectors; Drive sustainable economic growth; Create decent job; foster a culture of innovation and competitiveness: as well as encourage research and development amongst the institutions of higher learning.

The specific objectives of the summit are as follows:

1. Raise awareness about the importance of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) in enhancing productivity and sustainable development in Nigeria.

2. Identify opportunities for improving efficiency, competitiveness, economic growth, and productivity in the Nigerian economy through successful case studies and potential areas for STI.

3. Foster collaboration and partnerships between the government, academia, private sector, and civil society to invest in technological innovations for national development.

4. Develop concrete recommendations and actionable strategies to improve national productivity through STI.

Speakers and guest speakers are expected at the occasion.
