The National Productivity Centre NPC is poised to introduce a robust system known as " Productivity link wage system" to address frequent agitations of workers/ salaries, and to also determine payment mode for workers in line with individual's productivity and performance.
The National Productivity Centre NPC Director General, Dr Nasir Olaitan Raji Mustapha said the centre is also determined to grow the country's Gross Domestic Product GDP from the current level to an appreciable level of 1 trillion dollar.
Raji who made this statement during the maiden media parley with journalists in the corporate headquarters in Abuja on Monday stated that in the last one year, the centre has prioritized staff welfare and development.
"In line with the mission and vision of the agency, he promised a total commitment in line with the mandate guiding it's operations." Raji maintained.
Raji reiterated the commitment to capacity building for staff and provides productivity solutions to the private sector as part of it's cutting edge productivity tools.
"We have trained over 1000 senior productivity staff and officers to galvanize our training and training facilities."
"As part of our scorecard, we have also trained 3793 workers across Ministries, Departments and Agencies, along with series of collaboration and partnership with both private, local and international agencies like Glo and Aig Imokhuede foundation."
"We are already preparing for this year's National Productivity order of Merit Award that will recognize Nigerians in their various endeavors."
"We have also improved on training and retraining both in the private and public sector across the country, geared towards enhancing capacity building."
The NPC is promoting advocacy, training of youths, members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Ministries, Departments and Agencies as well as international organizations like International Labour organization, ILO among others.
