The recents award by the Nigerian Leadership Newspaper,the Nigerian Union of Journalists,etc, to Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia as the “Best Performing Governor of the Year 2023” and that “Advocate of the Masses and Human Right”,stupendously reinforces the fundamental reality that Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia’s motivation,vision and mission to serve the good people of Benue State is altruistically structured in line with changing the old narrative of Benue,from a backward state to a state where the hopes and aspirations of the good people of the state can realized,provided,guaranteed and protected.
Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has so far pursued his governance agenda in Benue with a meticulous commitment and alignment of his words with actions (the talk and do Governor),not forgetting too,that the overall interests,benefits and upliftment of the masses /downtrodden constitutes the fulcrum of growth and development of any given society or social organization which must be a superlatively prioritized
Since assumption of office,Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has expeditiously touched the lives of the Benue people,in such a significant manner that has influenced the replacement of the “YES FATHER dictum with that of “ THANK YOU FATHER”.Germane to the performance index of his government and administration include,the notable justification that a worker deserves his wages,which the Governor has placed enormous premium on the payment of salaries and pensions to Benue workers. Equally too,is the infrastructural transformation agenda of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia in the State,as well as his absolute commitment to the sustainability of his profound desire to convocate the Benue people out of the status of an underdeveloped state by unlocking the very strings of stagnation,misery,squalor,poverty and helplessness which hitherto constituted the endemic and unfortunate fate of the people under past governments.
It is instructive to reiterate that the awards of good governance and leadership given to Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia are earned and not contemplated! !! The awards are a function of the Governor’s signature in the sands of history,that things can be done differently and more rationally in advancing the cause of transformation of Benue State. Which however,can only be achieved with a mind of courage, resilience and unwavering drive to attaining greatness. Governor Hyacinth Alia’s success stories,so far in office as the 6th democratically elected Governor of Benue State,which have cumulatively earned him numerous awards, are all clinically embedded in his unique leadership quality as a “go getter”,whose credible convictions for development are not and cannot be pedestrianly swayed aside by noise makers,detractors and juvenile opposition politicians and pessimists.
While it is obvious that Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia will continue to attract and earn more awards,going forward from different noble organizations,both local and international,based on his palpable and honest resolve to reboot and reshape the positive ramifications of state growth and development in Benue State,it is our solemn prayer and call on the good people of Benue State to tenaciously sustain their solidarity for the government and administration of His Excellency,Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia
We sincerely applaud the tacit justification by all the organizations that have bestowed essential awards on the Governor of Benue State,we wish to associate with them as part of the political history of Benue State under the credible political leadership of Governor Hyacinth Alia.
