Member representing Kyan Constituency of Benue State, Hon. Emmanuel Terna Shimawua yesterday appreciated the Almighty God for clocking one year in office at the Benue State House of Assembly (BSHOA).
The celebration was moved to the realm of Thanksgiving Mass held yesterday at Our Lady's Queen of Peace Rectory, Mede at Mbangur in Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State.
The Priest of the Rectory, Rev. Fr. Moses Kaakyenge in his mass inspired the congregation to remain steadfast especially Hon. Shimawua to remain determined to positively touch the lives of his constituents and beyond. He gave him a new name 'Terwase' meaning God has helped him to become the member of BSHOA against all odds and God will continue to protect him for his marvelous initiatives for the good people of Kyan is achieved.
Hon. Shimawua was in the euphoria of excitement for the mass delivered and under the canopy of Rt. Hon. Mrs. Dorathy Mato made donation for the renovation and furnishing of the Father's house.
Donations were also made by Sir. James Iorpuu, Executive Secretary, Benue State Emergency Management Agency (BSEMA); Mr. Steven Numbeve, Benue State Coordinator, Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP); Hon. Jacob Nevkaa, Principal Special Assistant to the Governor of Benue State on Youths and Students' Affairs; Hon. Agabi Mede, Personal Assistant to the Benue State Governor on Local Government Area Market Coordination and Monitoring amongst others.
