According to a statement issued in Abuja by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Deputy House Leader, Comrade Muhammed Nasiru, a total of seven hundred and fifty constituents were enrolled on Federal character while many others were registered by the statutory privileges of occupying a principal office totalling to about one thousand beneficiaries drawn from the three Local Government Areas under the Deputy House Leader's jurisdiction.
The effects, occasioned by the Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has excited a lot of constituents as seen in the series of reactions to the alerts which is in no minimal terms cushioning the current economic condition of the country.
The scheme, which started March 9, 2024, offers financial grants of N50,000 without repayment obligations to eligible small business owners operating in various sectors such as trading, food services, ICT, transportation, creatives, and artisans in the 774 local government areas of the country.
It can be recalled that the Federal Lawmaker had earlier facilitated a mega enrollment of his constituents for the defunct Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) to the tune of one point five billion naira under the embattled Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, all in evidence to his commitment towards fighting poverty while embarking on other numerous infrastructure projects across the Constituency.
