By Terfa NaswemThe Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia is performing so well that the good people of Benue are extremely excited for the spontaneous development going on in the state.
Since 1999, this is the first time an executive governor of Benue State will embark on so many spontaneous projects that his media teams are overwhelmed with the work of trying to keep the public informed of such numerous spontaneous projects.
I had interactions with some groups of people in Gboko who said if it were possible for Alia to be the governor for more than 8 years, they would gladly give him their support to go beyond 8 years. They eulogized Alia as the best thing that has ever happened to Benue State since 1999.
They affirmed that if not for Alia, all that he has done and is still doing would have remained in their illusions. They will forever remain grateful to him for turning things around for the good people of Benue State.
Prospective gubernatorial aspirants from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other political parties ahead of 2027 gubernatorial election in Benue State should should just withdraw their intentions because Gov. Alia's reelection in 2027 is non-negotiable as agreed by the good people of Benue State. Anyone contesting against Alia will be wasting their time and resources.
