...As House of Reps Carries Out Inspection In Lagos
Deputy House Leader , House of Representatives, Rt Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali, Halims has requested to special concession in employment of constituents into the newly established dangote refinery.
This was the fallout of Yesterday's meeting, when the leadership of the 10th House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, ably led by the Honorable Speaker, Rt. Hon Abbas Tajudeen, PhD alongside the hierarchy of Oil and Gas Committees of the House arrived at Lagos for an inspection of the Dangote refinery scheduled for Saturday, 20th July, 2024.
The Lawmakers were warmly received by the President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the Deputy House Leader, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims during a special dinner made case for possible absorption of his constituents into the Oil coy noting that he has a pool of capable graduates willing to work.
The Dangote Refinery when in full operation is expected to have the capacity to process about 650,000 barrels of crude oil daily, making it the largest single-train refinery in the world. Former President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated the Dangote Refinery, an oil refinery owned by the Dangote Group on the 22nd of May 2023 in Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria.
