Member representing Kyan State Constituency in the Benue State House of Assembly (BSHOA), Hon. Terna Emmanuel Shimawua is determined to reposition Kyan Constituency through impactful representation.
One of his notable recent projects is the establishment of Skill Acquisition Centre at Gbem in Tsambe Council Ward, Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State.
Shimawua encourages Kyan constituents to embrace Skill acquisition stressing its important in the life of every Kyan constituents. "The reason why many technicians earns more than some university graduates is because the technicians acquired more of skills than the theories the graduates were fed with when they were in universities. It can take you to places you do not expect you will ever find yourself. Skill acquisition is the ability to be trained on a particular task or function and become expert in it.
"There are many people who are making their money full-time because of what they have already acquired. They do not even stress themselves much before they are able to make their cool cash. This is so because they are experts in what they do and the services they render is easy and yet make it big.
" The Skill Acquisition Centre I have established in Gbem has a barking, computer and hairdressing sections to train constituents who might be interested in any of the categories of training made available for now as more will be introduced in due course.
" The computer training section will train constituents on computer operator and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) since our world is fast embracing digital technology for effective communication and operations in all spheres of life.
" What I did in Gbem will be extended to other council wards in Kyan. I want all the good people of Kyan not to be perturbed as I remain committed to giving you all impactful representation, he said.
