No Protests In Kogi As Youths Celebrate WithThe Governor

By Alhaji Alhaji

As #EndBadGovernance protests rocks various states in Nigeria on Ist August, 2024, Kogi State once again became the cynosure of all eyes as there was neither peaceful nor violent protest anywhere around the state.

This unusual scenario did not come to me as a surprise in view of the welfarist and populist agenda of the people's governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, the Chief Servant of kogi state.

The governor was rather celebrated with pomp and ceremony as youths of the state gathered at the Glass House to "eat and dine" apologies to the Senate President- Godswill Akpabio with the governor.

Alhaji Alhaji, Secretary to Idah Local Government Council who also doubles as Chairman, forum of local government Secretaries in the state spoke while monitoring the protest within his domain. He told reporters: "I am sincerely not surprised that my local government ditto other local governments across the state are calm, peaceful with business men and women going around doing their businesses freely.

"My unsurprising posture stemmed from the friendly disposition of the governor and his passion for service to humanity which he has diligently delivered.

"The people of the state through the acts of these youths is a clear sign of reciprocity to the governor for all his developmental strides towards taking kogi state to a higher level". He concluded.
