Hon. Shimawua Distributes Books To Primary School Pupils In Kyan Constituency

By Terfa Naswem

Member representing Kyan Constituency in Benue State House of Assembly (BSHOA) and Chairman, House Committee on Local Government, Security and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Shimawua Emmanuel Terna has distributed over 4000 exercise books and over 2000 text books to primary school pupils in Kyan Constituency of Benue State.

The distribution took place on Monday, September 16th, 2024 at LGEA Primary School, Tse-Mker, Vandeikya Benue State.

Hon. Shimawua was extremely grateful to the good people of Kyan for electing him as their representative. He said the distribution of the books was showing appreciation to them for finding him worthy to represent them and will continue to do more to put smiles on the faces of all.

He lamented that as a result of the hyper-inflation in Nigeria, he couldn't get things to the level he would have wanted them to be, but assured his constituents that he is still strategizing on how more impactful representation will be felt in the midst of difficulties.

Caretaker Chairman of Vandeikya Local Government, Hon. Dennis Terkula Guda commended Shimawua for the gesture of goodwill bestowed on the good people of Kyan. He expressed optimism in the ability of Shimawua to reignite the flames of momentous progress to reach out to more constituents in the nearest future.

Chairman, Vandeikya APC Elders' Forum, Hon. Iorpuu Baaki made it clear that Shimawua is a beacon of hope for the people of Kyan Constituency and should be given the support he needs to continue to make more impact across Kyan.

Mue Ter Kyan, Augustine Aule eulogized Shimawua as a man of the people for the impact he has made so far. He said in spite of the lamentation by Shimawua for not being able to do enough at the moment as a result of paucity of funds and the high level of inflation, the things he has done so far are worthy of commendation, that most members representing their various constituencies are yet to do same.

In their separate speeches, Tyoor Mbajor, Chief Clement Asom; Orta Zaki Bonya; Malu; Boutsa and Peter Swem commended Shimawua for the distribution of exercise books to primary school pupils in Kyan and prayed God to grant him the ability to do more.
