In modern politics across the world and Nigeria, there is a consistent need for aspiring leaders to present a record of their contributions to the welfare and well-being of the people they seek to lead. Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in addition to his mentorship prowess in building many other leaders along the line which earned him the respect amongst the preponderant majority of progressive Nigerians.
For the records, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu have blazed the trail in demonstration of her capacity to influence a vast majority of women and Youth since her sojourn into politics.
A well grounded politician and career professional who have engaged and interacted with the grassroots in the political landscape of Nigeria. Dr. Ramatu was appointed as Special Adviser on Women, Youths and Social Development to the Executive Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council where she championed the Empowerment of women and Youths as catalyst for community development.
In her quest to ensure sustainable growth and development of the women and Youths, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu founded the non-governmental organization, the Global Women and Youths Empowerment Scheme (GLOWES) through which she continues to provide support and mentorship to women and Youths across board.
As a woman of great sagacity, Dr. Ramatu aspired to the House of Representatives for the Abuja South Federal Constituency. She was elected as the National Vice Chairman of the All Nigeria People's Party ANPP and later emerged National Women Leader of the ANPP.
Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, alongside other prominent progressives founded the All Progressive Congress APC and emerged as the Pioneer National Women Leader of the party.
As the National Women Leader of the APC, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu initiated several leadership fora for women engagement and inclusion in governance and was later appointed as the Honorable Minister of State FCT by Former President Mohammadu Buhari.
Her tenure as Minister of State for FCT witnessed a paradigm shift with in the FCT Administration. She supervised and initiated several Empowerment policies for the women and Youths of the FCT and the development of the satellite towns in the FCT.
Notably among her numerous achievements was is the training and Empowerment of almajiri's with various skills for self reliance, training and Empowerment of vulnerable women and people with disabilities who, many of whom still praise her till date for impacting their lives.
The various communities across the Area Councils were not left behind as she supervised numerous community projects in Agriculture, Primary Healthcare, Rural Water infrastructure and community road network.
Suffice to say, a golden fish has no hiding place which accounts for why numerous groups and individuals see in Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu a detribalised, compassionate and Humanitarian and above all, a political colossus and therefore call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to not look beyond Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu in finding a woman with a heart of gold and the political sagacity to navigate and provide the needed face of Humanitarian leadership in his administration.
