...Says Ododo has not done anything differently from Yahaya Bello
The House of Representatives candidate for Dekina/ Bassa in the 2023 general elections, Comrade Austin Usman Okai has asked PDP members to vote for the party in the forthcoming Saturday local government elections in Kogi state, stating that Ododo has not achieved anything differently from his predecessor, Yahaya Bello.
Speaking at a rally in Kogi state on Thursday at the backdrop of insinuation that Ododo will be paying 70,000 minimum wage, said the issue of 70,000 is a constitutional matter and national issue.
"Ododo''s approval of 70,000 minimum wage was not an achievement, even when he has not started paying , stating that other states like Lagos are paying 85,000 while Ogun pays 75,000."
The 70% payment for local government workers and primary school teachers was not done in isolation, after all the governor was part of the administration that shortchanged the workers under Yahaya Bello for consecutive eight years.
He asked the PDP members across the state to vote enmasse for the party , saying the only thing Ododo can do differently is to provide an enabling environment for election to take place .
"Tell them not to write results , provide election materials and be transparent, I bet you , they can not even win a councillorship seat in any local government." Okai maintained.
The social critic emphasized that a thriving democracy accommodates opposition party's , but the reverse is the case in kogi state .
