Benue NUJ Chairman Commends Chief Solomon Iorpev For Restoring Union's Unity

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Benue State Council, Comrade Bemdoo Ugber, along with other NUJ officials and the NUJ Dinner Award Committee, paid a courtesy visit on Tuesday to Chief Solomon Iorpev, the Technical Adviser to Governor Hyacinth Alia on Media, Publicity, and Strategic Communication. The visit, held at the Government House in Makurdi, was to express gratitude for Chief Iorpev's role in fostering unity within the union.

During the visit, Chief Iorpev thanked the delegation for their gesture and encouraged them to continue publicizing the activities of Governor Hyacinth Alia, attributing the union's improved cohesion to the governor's commitment to repositioning the NUJ in the state.

Prof. Henry Deke of the University of Jos and Chairman of the NUJ Dinner Award Committee, alongside the committee's secretary, Terhemen Ater, commended Chief Iorpev for his accessibility and humility. They praised his open leadership style, which they believe will continue to strengthen his influence and impact.
