NASC Appoints Engr. Bashir Aminu Yero As Deputy Clerk To The National Assembly

The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has officially appointed Engr. Bashir Aminu Yero as the Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly (DCNA). The decision was made during an emergency meeting held on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.

In a statement issued by Emmanuel N. Anyigor, Deputy Director of Information, on behalf of the Executive Chairman, the Commission also announced the appointment of Ibrahim Atiku, the Director of Finance & Accounts, as the Secretary of the Directorate of Procurement and Supplies. 

Additionally, Engr. Liman Baba Sanda, the former Secretary of the Directorate of Procurement & Supplies, has been redeployed to serve as the Secretary of Estate and Works.

The appointments and redeployments were confirmed in letters signed by the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Engr. Ahmed Kadi Amshi, who emphasized that these changes were made in recognition of the individuals’ hard work and administrative competence. The Commission urged the appointees to continue upholding the confidence placed in them.

These appointments and redeployments will take effect on February 2, 2025. It is noteworthy that the Commission had recently appointed Barrister Kamoru Ogunlana as the substantive Clerk to the National Assembly, also effective February 2, 2025.
