His Excellency Rev. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has revolutionized employment opportunities in Benue State, particularly in the sectors of Health and Education, within a remarkably short period. As the Governor of Benue State, he has prioritized the development of these critical areas, creating numerous job openings for Benue indigenes.
Under his leadership, the state has witnessed significant advancements in agriculture, a key driver of the economy. The government has implemented initiatives such as providing inputs and subsidies to farmers, including the distribution of fertilizers at subsidized rates, improved seeds, and other essential inputs to boost crop yields and quality.
Governor Alia's efforts in employment and education are truly commendable. Over 500 youths of the state have been employed at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, and the state's SUBEB is conducting a massive recruitment of qualified teachers to enhance standard in primary education.
Benue State has indeed witnessed a significant shift in governance under Governor Alia's administration. Unlike his predecessor who struggled to manage the workforce and faced challenges in paying salaries, Governor Alia has prioritized employee welfare. He has ensured timely payment of salaries and pensions on or before the 25th of every month, addressing a long-standing issue which was impossible then.
The present administration is revolutionizing youth development in Benue State by equipping them with cutting-edge technology skills. This innovative approach aims to transform young people into self-sufficient entrepreneurs, as it's happening at the bureau of Entrepreneurship and Wealth Creation, breaking the cycle of poverty and unemployment that has plagued the state for years .
The Technical Adviser to the Executive Governor of Benue State on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Hon. Iorpev's initiative to educate youths on media activities further underscores the administration's commitment to youth development and professionalism. This program not only enhances employability but also fosters financial independence, enabling young people to contribute meaningfully to the state's economy.
THE ALIA THE BETTER
