The leadership crisis rocking the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) yesterday took a new dimension as Federal Government announced the ‘removal’ of its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Abubakar Atiku.

Atiku, who was replaced with a chartered Accountant, Mr. Usman Gur Mohammed, was appointed CEO last year after the Canadian consulting company, Manitoba Hydro International, stopped running TCN late last year.

Following Atiku’s removal, the National Assembly Joint Committee on Power, yesterday summoned Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, over the sudden change in the leadership of TCN and its attendant crisis. However, sources from the TCN headquarters in Abuja alleged that Atiku was relieved of his duties for ‘inefficiency’.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter of the National Union of Electricity Employee (NUEE), had on Wednesday, protested the alleged plan by Fashola to remove Atiku. According to the union, Atiku was allegedly removed to pave way for a government appointee to manage the alleged $364 million World Bank loan.

Before his removal, Atiku had briefed the press, stating that the market operators owed Transition Company over N100 billion. However, a statement to justify Atiku’s removal was signed yesterday by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Power, Mr. Louis Edozie.

The statement read: “The Federal Government has approved the secondment of Usman Gur Mohammed from the African Development Bank (AfDB), as the interim Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).” While justifying Mohammed’s appointment, Edozie said: “Nigeria’s power sector is in transition from a vertically integrated government owned statutory monopoly to an industry in which private and publicly owned companies interact through contracts under the regulation of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

“Since 2013, the generation companies who produce the electricity we all consume and the distribution companies who deliver it to our homes, industries and businesses, are now being mainly privatelyowned companies.

“TCN, which transmits the electricity from the generation companies to the distribution companies for onward delivery and sale to customers, is currently owned by Federal Government of Nigeria FGN). In this role TCN operates two important licenses issued by NERC.

“As the Transmission Services Provider (TSP), TCN owns and operates the 132KV and 330KV high tension transmission lines and the 330/132/33KV substations that make up Nigeria’s national grid.

“As the Independent Systems Operator (ISO), TCN monitors and controls the national grid and when and how the power stations, which are owned by different companies, can supply electricity for delivery to distribution companies in a safe and orderly way.

TCN charges the distribution companies for these services. From 2012 to 2016 Manitoba Hydro International of Canada ran TCN as a management contractor.

With the exit of Manitoba, Mohammed comes with a clear mandate to review, validate and implement the best management structure, strategy, business plan and processes to take TCN, both TSP and ISO, to the next level of operational effectiveness.

“Mohammed has resumed duty with a 12 month non-extendable deadline to complete his transformational mandate and set TSP and ISO on a path of greater operational efficiency and effectiveness, and enhanced responsiveness to the needs of the generation companies and distribution companies, who are TCN’s customers.”

Meanwhile, the National Assembly Joint Committee on Power noted that the minister and other relevant officials were required to appear before the committee on February 6 at the National Assembly complex, Abuja.

The Joint Committee had earlier invited the minister to appear before it yesterday but he failed to honour the invitation. In a letter obtained by our correspondent in Abuja, the Joint Committee directed that the status quo ante in respect of the management of the TCN be maintained pending the outcome of the meeting of the minister with the committee. The committee also urged all staff of TCN and relevant stakeholders to maintain the peace in the overall interest of the country.

The letter, which was entitled, “The TCN leadership crisis and its effects on the power sector, was jointly signed by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Power, Steel Development and Metallurgy, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, and his counterpart in the House of Representatives, Daniel Asuquo.

Part of the letter reads:“The Joint Committee on Power of the National Assembly, acting on its powers of oversight, received disturbing correspondences and information regarding the sudden change in the leadership of TCN, and its attendant crisis.”

AMIDST Denial, ATIKU 2019 Posters Deface Streets In Kebbi As Supporters Chant "Sai Atiku..."

ATIKU 2019 CAMPAIGN POSTERS
Amidst denial by the for Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar that it's unripe to talk about 2019 Presidential election, which is apparently two years away the campaign posters of former of him is already being circulated across Kebbi State, report according to Guardian Newspaper says.

Just last week, Atiku Abubakar has said it would be a disservice for any politician to talk about preparations for the 2019 general elections when Nigerians are hungry, with no food on their tables.

Abubakar told newsmen in Minna, last week, shortly after he paid a condolence visit to the family of the late former governor of Niger State, Abdulkhadir Abdullahi Kure that no serious politician should think of 2019 now.

Kure died on Sunday, January 8, 2017, in Germany. He was buried in Minna, last Wednesday

Responding to a question on his plan for 2019, the former vice president replied: “The issue at stake now is not about 2019 but, how to make life comfortable for the people. Who is talking about 2019 when there is no food on the table for Nigerians? Whoever is talking about 2019 is being fair to the people.”

Atiku, however, said when the time comes, Nigerians will hear from him, and pointed out that, “for now, no Nigerian will listen to you talk about 2019; that will be disservice to the people who are starving and dying of hunger.”

On the contrary, the former VP during Obasanjo first tenure campaign posters have already defaced some major streets in Kebbi and some northern and southern States.

Atiku, who visited the state at the weekend during the Abdullahi Fodio 1805 book launch at the Emir of Gwandu’s palace, was surrounded by political supporters chanting “Say Atiku Turaki Adamawa for President 2019.”

The former vice president who was the chief launcher at the occasion donated N10 million. He described the book as historical, chronicling the qualities of good leadership since 1805.

2019: Atiku Kick-start Campaign, Revives Former PDP Group As His More Game Plans Revealed

2019: Atiku Kick-start Campaign, His Game Plan Revealed
Barring any last minute hitches, former Vice President and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, seems set to throw his hat into the ring for another crack at the presidency. And according to sources he is already oiling his political machine ahead of the 2019 presidential elections.

It was learnt that the Turakin Adamawa, as he is fondly called by his political associates, has been making significant inroads into various parts of the country in line with his game plan to actualize his dream.

Atiku, sources revealed, is not only reviving his old structures in the Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM), which had earlier fused into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and later moved into the APC, following his defection to the party in 2014, but also expanding his political frontiers to various parts of the country.

Sunday Telegraph gathered that prominent members of the PDM, who played some roles in the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015, have been assigned different roles in their respective zones to mobilise support for Atiku’s aspirations, which may be made public anytime soon.

Atiku, a source said, is counting on the natural support expected to come from the North-East geo- political zone where he hails from and the North Central geopolitical zone which shares some common affinity with the North-East.

Some political analysts have linked him to new political groups springing out of these two northern zones. In addition, he is said to be banking heavily on the people of the South-South and South-East geo- political zones who have become embittered by the vexed issues of marginalization both in political appointments and distribution of infrastructure.

The experienced politician, it was learnt, has already begun pandering to the interests of these two southern political blocks through his growing advocacy for restructuring of the federation, a gospel that resonates with the South and minorities groups in the North. Atiku dropped the first shot in this direction at the Late Gen.Usman Katsina Memorial Conference, held at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Memorial Hall, Murtala Square, Kaduna in July, 2016.

There, he delivered a lecture titled: “Restructuring Nigeria for Greater National Integration and Democratic Stability” during which he said that national integration and the survival of Nigeria’s democracy were related and very important in achieving national integration and the survival of democracy in Nigeria.

Alluding to the opinion that much of the nation’s political power resided in what is often referred to as the Kaduna Mafia, he advocated “an honest and clear-headed” look at better working federal systems in the world.

According to him, those systems will reveal among other things, a greater devolution and autonomy for the federating units, less interference of the centre on local matters, such as local government administration, including local policing; central governments that depend on taxation of resource extraction and other economic activities rather than rents for their operations.

This progressive stance, sources said, seems to have enhanced his acceptability in the southern regions, especially in the South-East whose near aversion for the government at the centre has manifested in the plethora of pro-Biafra organisations like the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Movement for the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and the Biafra Independence Movement( BIM), to name a few.

Sunday Telegraph also learnt that Atiku is also dangling the Vice Presidential ticket before the South- East as a way of guaranteeing their support, especially among some prominent Igbo politicians who say it is too early to unmask their support for now. However, what might seem to be Atiku’s joker has also been viewed with a lot of suspicion by some politicians.

A vocal politician from Kano State, Dr Junaid Mohammed told Sunday Telegraph that although President Muhammadu Buhari had failed to meet the aspirations of Nigerians, Atiku cannot be an alternative in 2019. He dismissed Atiku’s advocacy on restructuring and challenged him to define in clear terms the parameters of the restructuring agenda. “When I hear this kind of thing being said by him, I will like him to define his terms.

What does he mean by restructuring? Does he want us to go back to the four regional structures in which the North will be twice as big as the three southern regions in terms of land mass and resources? Will that bring a sense of balance in the national discourse? Unless I am told what he actually means by restructuring, I don’t like wasting my time,” he said.

When reminded that Atiku has been advocating that Nigeria be restructured into six geo-political zones, Mohammed again dismissed the proposal as a project of the PDP which, according to him, had been rejected by Nigerians when they voted the party out of government. The former member of the House of Representatives asserted that the current campaign for restructuring cannot make Atiku win an election.

But a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Cairo Ojougboh described the former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as a major stakeholder in the Nigeria project. Ojougboh, who is the Vice Chairman (South-South) of the Sheriff faction of the PDP said the former Vice President was free to join any political party in the country. “Abubakar Atiku is a major stakeholder in the entity call Nigeria, an advocate of true federalism and he has the right to romance any party or group he chooses. There should be no rumour about his intentions as he is capable of speaking for himself at the right and appropriate time,” Ojougboh stated.

A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who did not want his name in print, told Sunday Telegraph that Atiku’s chances of becoming the next President could only be actualised if the politician worked with a coalition of political groups in the country. According to him, both the APC and PDP will not serve the purpose because while PDP had become an abandoned child, the APC would have been too divided to be a formidable force by 2019.

On the restructuring agenda, he said Atiku’s adoption of the concept of restructuring was a significant boost to the agitation for fiscal federalism which he said had become inevitable with the current economic realities. Politicians from the North, he said, have been the greatest obstacles to the restructuring of Nigeria but might join Atiku particularly with the growing prospects of discovering oil in the Lake Chad basin.

However, the Head of the Atiku Media Office, Mr. Paul Ibe debunked insinuations that the Turakin Adamawa embarked on the campaign for restructuring of the federation because of the 2019 presidential election.

According to Ibe, the former Vice President had long been an advocate of restructuring even when he served in the Obasanjo administration. He, however, did not confirm if his boss was actually mobilising towards taking another shot at the presidential seat. Recall that the Presiding Bishop of Divine Seed of God Chapel Ministries in Ibadan, Oyo State, Prophet Wale Olagunju, who accurately predicted President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in the 2015 election, has revealed that President Buhari will be dethroned in 2019 election by former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

He said: “God says the name Atiku Abubakar will continue to ring like a bell. He will be so popular among Nigerian politicians to the extent that many will root for him. God says should Atiku Abubakar contest the 2019 election, he will defeat Buhari hands down.”

Meanwhile, Atiku’s donation to the Delta State chapter of the ruling APC , believed to be part of his preparation for 2019 elections caused no little rumpus penultimate week.

Atiku Is Nigeria's Next President, The Country'll Break To 5 - See All 52 2017 Prophecies Of Prophet Olagunju
As preparations for the next general elections get under, the 2019 presidential election in the country may climax in another major upset if the 2017 prophecies of a popular Ibadan based pastor, Prophet Wale Olagunju, Presiding Bishop of Divine Seed Chapel Ministries, are anything to go by.

The Ibadan based cleric who hit the bull’s eye with most of his predictions in 2016 including prophecies on the late Oba of Benin, the final routing of Boko Haram by the Nigeria Army, defeat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State as well as the crisis in the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly as it concerned the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the national chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun, has predicted that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar would succeed President Mohammadu Buhari in 2019.

The man of God, in a 52-point prophecy for the Year 2017 also foretold the possibility of the country splitting into five as he claimed to have foreseen, “the map of Nigeria torn into five,” saying, “no amount of peace talk can prevent Nigeria’s disintegration. It is a matter of time” even as he predicted that the Igbo’s desire for Biafra nation has received divine approval.

Below are his prophecies for Nigeria in the year:
1.  As revealed by the Almighty God who will never share his glory with mortal man, the present generation of Nigerian leaders in the likes of Obasanjo, Babangida, Gowon, Danjuma, Abdusallam and Buhari will pass away before the emergence of the Messiah that will lead Nigeria to the promise land. The problem in our Nation will be so much that what we are witnessing now will be a child play to what we will see and hear and there will be chaos and distrust all over the nation as a result of which the messiah will emerge.
This messiah, an unknown person, will proffer solutions (to the problems); conduct referendum and will break Nigeria peacefully. As revealed to me further by the creator of the universe, the reign of this messiah will be brief. God of Abraham has concluded in heaven to raise for Himself the young man who will give divine solution and execute God’s programme for Nigeria.
2. There is going to be serious fight between Obasanjo and Buhari as revealed by God Almighty.
3. Notable chieftains of the APC and the PDP who are talking of 2019 without due reference to God will not live to witness that year.
4. There is going to be rowdy session in the National Assembly in the coming year.
5. The present war against Bola Tinubu will continue but many of those fighting him will come back to eat their words.
6.      God again revealed to me that Nigeria is seriously sick and that the only drug that can cure her is National Repentance Prayer. Failure to do this, God says Nigeria will continue to wallow in problems. God warned Nigerians not to look up to their leaders for solutions but to God Almighty as they have none to their problems.
7.      God of heaven says He is angry with President Buhari because of his failure to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians but instead adding to it. God says Buhari’s government is like a weed on the surface of the Atlantic Ocean.
8.      God says those who think the PDP is dead are making a mistake as He [God] does not work in the counsel of men but in the reasoning of His words. God says the party will bounce back and its members in the APC will return to their original house.
9.      The present rumpus in the APC will continue.
10.   The Nigerian nation will continue to experience hardship unless serious steps are taken to seek the face of God.
11.   Nigerians should pray for Buhari against high blood pressure, liver and kidney problem as the President is sick.
12.   God says that He deliberately raised Donald Trump of America to execute His judgment on America for their sin of sodomy and homosexuality being propagated by Obama/Hillary Clinton. God says Trump will at a stage behave like an anti-Christ.
13.   God says the Yoruba nation will unite and rise again.
14.   There is going to be sharp misunderstanding between Buhari and Osinbajo as a result of political differences.
15.   God says any party that fields Buhari for the 2019 presidential election will be fielding liability as his candidacy will make the party lose the election. God says this will be so because Buhari has disappointed God by his failure to carry out His instruction as published in my 2016 predictions by national dailies to “wage war against corruption, execute God’s fierce judgment on those who sinned against God by looting as well as for his failure to demonstrate love to the poor by alleviating their suffering. God says for these reasons, He has torn his government and given it to another man after His heart to rule Nigeria. God says Buhari will continue to have problem till his last day in Aso Rock and people will continue to hate him because of his failure to rule with the fear of God.
16.   To show the extent to which Buhari’s disappointment is grieving God, God says he has rejected Buhari just like He did to Jonathan and even his people the Hausas will reject him come 2019. In the presence of Almighty God as revealed to me, Buhari have become a complete disappointing king/failure just like king Saul in the bible.
17.   God says the name Atiku Abubakar will continue to ring like a bell. He will be so popular among Nigerian politicians to the extent that many will root for him.
18.   God says should Atiku Abubakar contest the 2019 election, he will defeat Buhari hands down.
19.   The 2018 Governorship election in Ekiti State will cause a sharp division in the APC camp because of the inordinate ambition of some of their self-centered leaders. The party in the state will break into three factions as revealed to me by God.
20.   God says the APC is being faced by three major problems of backbiting, unnecessary petition against former leaders and total hijack of the party structure from pioneer members.
21.   Tambuwal and David Mark will be drafted to contest the 2019 Presidential election but God says the cabal of our nation will prefer Governor Tambuwal of Sokoto State.
22.   Nigerians should pray against fire accident in the coming year.

28.   God again warned that should the APC field Buhari in 2019, the broom will be broken and thrown into fire just like I predicted to PDP in 2014.
29.   God Almighty says President Buhari is too rigid and stubborn. God says the President has set aside His mandate for him to cleanse the nation of corruption. God says He is only giving the President the grace to motivate Nigerians for special repentance prayer.
30.   Serving ministers in Buhari’s government should watch their steps as the President is set to drop some of them and reshuffle his government.
31.   God says Governor Aregbesola of the State of Osun will continue to swim in problems until he gets out of office as a result of the recognition he gave to the Osun Osogbo idol.
32.   God says he will inflict those who loot Nigeria treasury with sickness. They will henceforth be inflicted with dreaded sicknesses that will lead to untimely death unless they repent.
33.   God says Goodluck Jonathan will never win any election again in Nigeria as a result of his sin against the Almighty.
34.   God says 2019 election will be tougher than the 2015.

23.   God says that except that the Nigeria nation repent of the sin of its leaders who killed innocent souls, sin of FESTAC ’77 and sin of corruption which placed the country under the curse of the Almighty, the country’s problem will continue.
24.   Prophet T. B. Joshua should pray seriously to avert sickness.
25.   General T. Y. Danjuma should also pray against sickness.
26.   God says I. B. B. will continue to remain in sickness.
27.   God says for Buhari to have taken the problem of Nigeria to Kaaba in Mecca as if there is no God in Nigeria and rather than motivate the entire nation to fast and seek the face of God, He [God] will continue to raise adversaries against his government and Nigerians will continue to hate him.

2019 Mega Party: Saraki In Dilemma As Buhari, Atiku Groups Jostles To Have His Signature

2019 Mega Party: Saraki In Dilemma As Buhari, Atiku Groups Jostles To Have His Signature

ATIKU SARAKI BUHARI
The President of Nigerian Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki may be in serious dilemma over where to pitch his political tent as both powerful contending forces are serious jostling to have him in their group, News Punch understand.

According to Vanguard News, plans for the formation of a mega party are creating increasing dissonance within the two major political parties in the country with eyes turning on Senate President, Bukola Saraki, as the beautiful bride of the major agitators.

Meanwhile, promoters of the mega party, it was learned, are moving to ensure that the party has a complete national outlook with faces from all geopolitical zones on board.

Crucial to the move, it was learned, is the enrolment of some former governors mostly of the former ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, into the mega party. Retired generals with political bent are also being recruited into the movement, Vanguard gathered.

Meanwhile, against earlier projections of the Senate President being hounded out of office, Senator Saraki, it was learned, has become a beautiful bride to those in the APC who want to remain and those who want to opt out.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, had repeatedly been mentioned as among those to leave for the mega party.

Tinubu, however, issued a rebuttal on Monday as he insisted he would remain in the party he helped to build. Repeated efforts to get a confirmation or otherwise on Atiku’s stance, as at press time, yesterday were not successful.

Atiku and Saraki had forged a sort of collaboration just before the National Assembly leadership election in 2015 as supporters of both men within the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, closed ranks to throw up Saraki as Senate President as against the inclination of the Tinubu/Muhammadu Buhari tendency in the ruling APC. That collaboration was underpinned by the stoicism with which Atiku’s Man Friday, Timi Frank, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, flayed the attacks against Saraki.

However, multiple sources confirmed to Vanguard that Buhari’s associates, following the fallout with Tinubu in Kogi and Ondo States, have opted to collaborate with Saraki towards ensuring the realisation of the President’s second term ambition in 2019.

Towards that end, Saraki, it was learned, has become a key political strategist within the Buhari political tendency and was instrumental to the strategic political moves that helped win the Ondo State governorship election for the APC.

The position of Saraki in the APC was accentuated last week after his political godson, Bolaji Abdullahi, was named to take up the position of National Publicity Secretary, a position vacated by Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

“True, Lai Muhammed was originally from Kwara, but he was Asiwaju’s own Kwaran, who is more or less a Lagosian. When Muhammed went on to become Minister of Information, the implication was that Asiwaju and the ACN block had nobody left in the party’s executive hierarchy. Instead, it is Saraki that now has his man as the voice and face of the party,” Mr. Tope Ajayi, a source privy to the developments, told Vanguard.

The Tinubu camp, it was learned, has, however, not given up on Saraki as associates are said to be making regular contacts with the Saraki camp towards projecting a common front towards the 2019 contests.

Political commentators have also noted how the Presidency has recently been falling back to please the Senate President and sometimes making sacrifices to please him. In one of the latest gestures to the Senate President, Pastor Yissa Benjamin, a former Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly who was nominated to the board of the National Communications Commission, NCC, from Kwara State in the days of the acrimony between the Presidency and Saraki was dropped by the Senate without much of a complaint by the Presidency.

Jibrin said: “I salute Tinubu’s courage for coming out to speak frankly about his position regarding this unfounded rumour and for setting the record straight.

“In Tinubu’s own reaction denouncing the report, he condemned the PDP and I can’t understand why anybody would think that we are going to form a new party with somebody who has been condemning us.

“The PDP is a golden name, a party formed by respectable and dignified Nigerians dead and alive, like Alex Ekwueme, Jerry Gana, Solomon Lar, Adamu Ciroma, Aminu Wali, Sule Lamido and many others.

“It is therefore ridiculous to think that anyone would abandon a well-organised party like the PDP and join another party. There is nothing wrong with the PDP, except for some characters within the party.”

According to the party chief, impunity and indiscipline among some members triggered the leadership crisis in the party. PDP would overcome the challenges sooner than expected, he said.

The BoT chair stated that issues arising from anarchy, self-centredness, self-aggrandisement and indiscipline that have plagued the PDP were already being resolved.

“We are ready to make corrections by doing away with impunity, indiscipline and pride among some people in our midst,” Jibrin added.
He praised the efforts by the Senator Ike Ekweremadu committee and another committee led by Prof. Jerry Gana in finding a lasting solution to the various conflicts within the PDP.

Senator Jibrin expressed optimism that many of those who left the PDP before the 2015 general elections would rejoin the party before the 2019 general elections.

“We are ready to look into their cases whenever they decide to come back. We can never abandon the PDP for some people who have just joined us simply because they have the capacity to cause trouble,” Jibrin said.

Walid Jibrin
Contrary to media reports and speculations, there has been no alliance or party formation talk between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman Walid Jibrin, said yesterday, News Punch understands

Jibrin said reports suggesting alliance talks by the Ahmed Makarfi-camp of the PDP with Tinubu and some prominent chieftains of the APC emanated from the imagination of mischief makers, The Nation Newspaper reports

The disputed report also mentioned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso and Senator Aliyu Wamakko as part of the alleged talks.

But the PDP BoT chair said the party had never contemplated teaming up with Tinubu and other APC chieftains with the purpose of forming another political party.

BOMBSHELL: Gov. El-Rufai A Clownish Buffoon Who Once Licked Obasanjo, Atiku's Anuses - Senator Shehu Reveals

Governor El-Rufai kneeling down for Obasanjo
The Senator representing Kaduna Central District, Shehu Sani, has taken a swipe at the Governor of the state, El-Rufai for paying herdsmen to stop killings in Southern Kaduna.

Recall that El-Rufai had recently disclosed that his administration traced violent Fulani herdsmen to their countries and paid them to stop the killings in Southern Kaduna.

Sani, while reacting to the governor’s claim alleged that El-Rufai is a “heap of excrement you may mistake for a bar of chocolate.”

In a statement he personally signed, the Senator said, “Some people said I overreact to El-rufai but it’s not true. I’m been mild. El-rufai is a stinking 16 year unwashed and dirty underwear of the PDP inherited and deodorized by the APC instead of been taken to the laundry.

“He is a mucus you can mistake for a vanilla ice cream. He is a heap of excrement you may mistake for a bar of chocolate. He once licked the anus and sniffed the fart of Obasanjo to prove his loyalty.

“He once licked the Anus and sniffed the fart of Atiku to prove his loyalty; Now he is doing so for Baba. An accidental Governor permanently consigning his state in the emergency ward of pervasive insecurity. A man with perfidious history and patented habit of kneeling down to blow the organs of his masters to prove his fidelity.

“Shehu sani is “Unsuspendable” I dey Kampe, even when I climbed Kufena mountain I still dey Kampe.Try another thing this one can’t silence ZA Comrade.”

“Elrufai gets his political advice from an adviser who serves as his apprentice, who has never won an election; a serial lickspittle, a duffer, a clownish buffoon. A man so chronically despised and dismissed by even the cabinet members of his government and the party members in the state.

“Elrufai has become a hostage of an ‘adviser’, who continuously extort money from the Government in the name of either recalling or suspending Shehu. A project that makes no impact than continuously rubbishing the Governor.

“Since we came to office on May 29th 2015,Elrufai’s Kaduna APC held about 8 Press conferences and all the 8 Press conferences were about ‘suspending Shehu Sani’ or ‘confirming the suspension of Shehu Sani’ or “ratifying the suspension of Shehu Sani or ‘affirming the suspension of Shehu Sani. It has ridiculously reached to a point that each time Kaduna journalist are invited by Elrufai’s Kaduna APC is to write the repeated story of Shehu Sani’s suspension. Shehu-Sani.

“I have been so suspended by Elrufai’s men to the point that my car may not need suspenders again. I am also thinking of opening a private chemistry school to teach students on suspension. I remembered my elementary chemistry where suspension is defined as: ‘A heterogeneous mixture in which the solute particles do not dissolve but get suspended throughout the bulk of the medium’. I’m proud to be suspended by Elrufai, a serpent in the caravan of change.’

“Kaduna APC is a congregation of political appointees of Mr Governor, they want him to sleep, snore and fart without noise from Shehu. If my repeated suspension will earn our Governor a shirt in the Nigerian or American Basketball team, I’ll be happy.

“The very Elrufai’s Kaduna APC that accused Shehu of disrespecting the “party” is the same one that reigned insults and abuses against the National Vice chairman North West who invalidated their cretinous vituperation.

“They are the same people who don’t recognise and respect any Committee set up by the national secretariat of the party including one headed by Katsina State Governor Masari. Their suspension ends in the executive W/C and then the cesspit hole of their Government House where it will converge with the outcome of Suya, Pap and Beans cake meal.”

2019: Tinubu, Atiku Join Force With Makarfi PDP Faction, Saraki, Others Too; Hence, Buhari Makes Shocking Desperate Moves

2019 Mega Party, Atiku, Tinubu Saraki Makarfi
The permutations, alignments, realignments  and political calculations ahead of the 2019 general elections may have begun already as fresh report according to Punch Newspaper suggests that the out of favour national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki and handful of notatble members of the APC may have perfected plan to join force with the Alhaji Makarfi led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, News Punch understands

According to Punch Newspaper, barring any last-minute change of plans, the proposed mega opposition party in the country will be formed before the end of March, 2017.

It was gathered that the Ahmed Makarfi faction of the Peoples Democratic Party and aggrieved chieftains of the All Progressives Congress had intensified efforts aimed at forming the party since the result of the Ondo State election was released.

Findings showed that besides the plan to form a new mega party, those involved in the talks were also considering adopting any of the existing political parties as their platform.

It was gathered that those who were participating in the talks included former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and a national leader of the APC,  Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

A PDP chieftain, according to Punch Newspaper, said with what happened in Ondo,  it had become obvious that the Muhammadu Buhari administration was ready to relinquish power despite the fact that it had no solution to the economic recession in  the country.

The source said, “The mega party is still at a formative stage but I can tell you we are making steady progress.

“With what happened in Ondo, you will agree with me that the cabal around the President, including a governor from the North-Central, and some ministers, has hijacked the party structure.

“They have shown more than once that they want to frustrate Tinubu and Atiku out of the APC.  These are tested politicians, who have no plans of retiring any time soon.

“The picture will become clearer before the end of the first quarter of next year (March 2017) because some of our people believe that if we come out now, the cabal will use executive powers to frustrate us.  Others feel it is better to let Nigerians know but our leaders are meeting at home and abroad. We are waiting for them.”

Investigations showed that those involved in the talks were aware of the Federal Government’s plot to thwart the groups’ plan to form a new mega party, informing the plan of the groups to adopt any of the existing parties and uplift it to a mega status.

“We are working on the plan to form a mega party, but we may adopt any of the existing parties, if the government thwarts our efforts,” a PDP Chieftain confided in our source.

It was also gathered that the Makarfi faction planned to strengthen its electoral strength in the South-East by entrenching rotational presidency in the constitution of the new party.

Another top member of the PDP said the group was aware of the plans by the  Buhari administration to make an inroad into the South-East in 2019.

The PDP chieftain added, “The South-East and South-South are areas of our strength. We have noticed that the Presidency has been receiving Igbo leaders at the Aso Rock. This is part of the bid to win the zone in 2019.

“We may have to make some concessions to the South-East to truly show that we care for the zone. These will include rotational presidency.”

For Tinubu, it was also gathered that the group was seriously considering the offer of the Makarfi faction to form a mega party.

It was learnt that the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, had been reaching out to the Tinubu group on behalf of the faction.

A member of the Tinubu group, who confided in Our Source, stated, “We do not want to make the mistake we made with Buhari by rushing to support him. We are considering the offer from the PDP faction.”

Besides Tinubu and Atiku, other prominent politicians being targeted by the Makarfi faction include a former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankanso; the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, and an ex-governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Wamakko.

It was gathered that the Makarfi faction was aware of the desperate move of the President to woo Saraki.

This, it was learnt, was one of the reasons for the Senate President’s recent frequent visits to the President.

“We have not given up on Saraki. He is one of us and we believe he is going to be part of the mega party we will form,” a PDP chieftain stated.

One of our correspondents learnt that the Federal Government had dropped the Senate Order forgery suit against Saraki in order to ensure his loyalty to Buhari.

It was also believed that the Senate President was instrumental to the emergence of former sports minister, Bolaji Abdullahi, as the National Publicity Secretary of the ruling party.

“Even the trial of the Senate President at the Code of Conduct Tribunal may crumble or never be concluded. It’s all part of the plan to ensure that Saraki does not join the new party to be formed,” a source told one of our correspondents on Saturday.

For Kwankanso, it was gathered that the former governor had almost been pushed out of the APC by his successor, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje.

“Kwankanso is going to be part of the new arrangement because for now, he is only a fringe member of the APC,” the PDP source added.

Efforts made to get the reaction of the Makarfi faction were unsuccessful as calls made to the telephone of the National Publicity Secretary of the Caretaker Committee of the PDP, Mr. Dayo Adeyeye, were not connected.

Adeyeye, a former minister of state for works, had, however, once denied that the inter-party committee, set up by Makarfi, was given a mandate to change the name of the PDP.

When one of our correspondents contacted the Special Adviser to Tinubu, Mr. Tunde Rahman, he said he was not aware of the plan to form a mega party.

He said, “I am not aware of that development. I am not aware at all.”

On his part, the media aide to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, Paul Ibe, dismissed insinuations that his principal was considering dumping the APC.

He accused those he referred to as political jobbers and mischief makers of trying to drag the former Vice-President into their baseless conspiracy theory.

“The statement we issued as far back as 2015 on this vexatious speculation is as valid then as it is valid today.

“The same sets of mischief makers are at it again. The Turakin Adamawa has shown in his words and deeds that he is a committed member of the All Progressives Congress nothing has changed,” Ibe stated.

The statement, which was issued by the Atiku Media Office, described media reports linking Atiku to a new party, as “lies concocted by some mischief makers who were trying to cause disaffection between the former Vice-President and his party.

Political realignment are ongoing, says Timi Frank

But the suspended Deputy Publicity Secretary of the APC, Timi Frank, said, “I can tell you clearly; political re-alignments are going on and people will make their stand known very, very soon. That is all I can tell you for now.”

How I Made And Marred Atiku, Why I Blocked Him From Becoming The President - Anenih Reveals As He Quit Politics

How I Made And Marred Atiku, Why I Blocked Him From Becoming The President - Anenih Reveals As He Quit Politics

atiku and tony anenih
Popularly know ans 'Mr. Fix It', a former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Board of Trustees, Tony Anenih, has revealed how he made and marred a former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Stating he, Anenih was instrumental to Atiku becoming the Vice President and how he also blocked him from becoming the President in 2003.

Anenih stated this in his book, titled ‘My Life and Nigerian Politics,’ which was presented in Abuja on Saturday.

Anenih, who served as the Minister of Works and Housing between 1999 and 2002, said Abubakar became too ambitious during the build-up to the 2003 presidential election in which Obasanjo was seeking a second term.

The former PDP BoT Chairman  claimed that he was the one who made Atiku second-in-command in 1999.

He said after the PDP presidential primary of 1998, the then Chairman of the party, Solomon Lar, recommended three northerners to be Obasanjo’s running mate.

The three nominees were Prof. Jerry Ghana, Abubakar Rimi and Adamu Ciroma.

Lar was said to have told Obasanjo that Rimi was his preferred candidate but Obasanjo wasn’t convinced.

Anenih, according to the book, then advised Obasanjo to pick Atiku, who had just won the governorship election in Adamawa State and was waiting to be sworn in.

He added, “I asked Obasanjo whether he would want a vice-president that would give him absolute confidence and allow him to sleep with his two eyes closed or whether he would want a vice-president he did not trust.

“He answered that he would like to sleep with his two eyes closed. It was at this point that I asked him: ‘What about Atiku?’ Chief Obasanjo’s answer was that Atiku had just won his governorship election and the law might not allow him to come on board as his running mate.

“We both decided to get a lawyer to advise us and Barrister Alimi Rasaq of Kwara State was sent for. He advised us that there was nothing in the constitution that prevented Atiku from being his running mate; especially as Atiku had not been sworn in.”

“As a result of my preparations for Chief Obasanjo’s second tenure, I stepped on the toes of many of those who did not want him to seek a second term. These are the people I can now refer to as members of the ‘G3’. These were General Ibrahim Babangida, (ex-) Vice- President Atiku Abubakar and the (ex-) National Security Adviser, General Aliu Gwarzo.

“There was no other way I could have offended the vice-president other than that I prevented him from being PDP’s presidential candidate in the 2003 presidential election. He erroneously believed that he was the only politician at the Villa and that he was better qualified than the President. I was well ahead of him in all his plans to prevent Chief Obasanjo from running (for re-election).”

Anenih, however, noted that after blocking Abubakar, the former vice-president also ensured that he (Anenih) lost his position in Obasanjo’s cabinet.

Speaking at the book presentation, which had in attendance several PDP leaders, Anenih announced that he had quit politics.

However, former President Goodluck Jonathan, who was a special guest of honour, rejected Anenih’s retirement, urging him not to abandon the PDP.

Meanwhile, the ex-minister said he survived death after an eight-hour heart surgery.

He stated this during a thanksgiving service held at Our Lady Queen of Nigeria Pro-Cathedral Church, Garki, Abuja.

He said, “There is nothing God cannot do if you believe in him sincerely. I had a problem with my heart. So I was subjected to eight hours of surgery and seven doctors were carefully selected to do that because of their experience.

“Before the operation, the seven doctors told the people that accompanied me (to the hospital) that I wouldn’t make it. I heard them.”

The event was attended by ex-Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar; ex-Vice-President Namadi Sambo; Aliko Dangote; Second Republic Vice-President, Alex Ekwueme; a former Governor of Kogi State, Idris Wada; ex-Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido; a former Governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu; Prof. Jerry Gana and others.
