Religious WAR Looms As as Militants Reply Boko Haram, vow to kill Muslims, Burn Mosques
News Proof 6.8.16 No comments Edit Post
A Niger Delta militant group, has vowed to retaliate any attack on Christians and churches in the country by Boko Haram insurgents.
The group,Niger Delta Revolutionary Crusaders, NDRC, was reacting to the threat issued by the new leader of the violent Islamist group, Abu Masab el-Barnawi, to kill Christians and burn down churches.
The NDRC, in a statement issued on Saturday, and signed by WOI Izon-Ebi, said: “We want to alert Nigerians and the world that the Islamization plot has been proven by the Boko Haram new leader Abu Masab el Barnawi that their new mission is to kill all Christians and burn down all churches.
“But, we want to warn them that we, the Niger Delta youths, in this 21st century will not accept killing of innocent Christians or burning of churches. That if they try it in the north or any part of Nigeria, we the Niger Delta youths will not see any Muslim or mosque in the Niger Delta.”
The group further said: “We are not against President Buhari granting the Boko Haram amnesty if their sole purpose is to own an Islamic caliphate in the north, but they should not shift it to the Niger Delta.
“All we know and want is resource control and true federalism, if truly they believe in one Nigeria, and are working harder to build a prosperous One Nigeria, let them shift their Operation Crocodile Tears to the Fulani herdsmen and the Boko Haram that is threatening the unity and peace of Nigeria”.
The militant group also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to demonstrate leadership just the way former President Goodluck Jonathan did by visiting him {Buhari} to assure him that he was not part of the planned declaration of the Niger Delta Republic.

Despite claims by Nigerian military that it has defeated the dreaded Islamic sect, the Boko Haram, the Islamic State Jihadist group, ISIS, has announced a change of leadership in the sect inflicting deadly havoc in some West African state sub-region, Nigeria prominent.
The terrorist group said the leadership for its West African branch, Boko Haram, has been adjusted, BBC is reporting.
According to BBC, Abu Musab al-Barnawi, who was previously spokesman for the Nigerian-based Islamists, is featured in the latest issue of an IS magazine.
It does not say what has become of the group's former leader Abubakar Shekau.
He was last heard from in an audio message last August, saying he was alive and had not been replaced - an IS video released in April said the same.
Boko Haram, which has lost most of the territory it controlled 18 months ago, is fighting to overthrow Nigeria's government.
Its seven-year insurgency has left 20,000 people dead, mainly in the country's north-east.
In the interview in IS's weekly Arabic magazine al-Naba, Mr Barnawi said his group "remained a force to be reckoned with" and said it had been drawing new recruits.
He described the group's battle against West African states as a war fought by Muslims against "apostates" and "crusaders".
Who is Abu Musab al-Barnawi?
- Little is known about Abu Mus'ab al-Barnawi, who appeared in a Boko Haram video in January 2015 as the group's spokesman
- He wore a turban and his face was blurred out and it was filmed as a sit-down studio interview
- Unlike Abubakar Shekau his delivery in the Hausa language was considered and softly spoken
- Mr Shekau was often filmed in the open, surrounded by fighters, loudly proclaiming his threats, victories and giving rambling ideological lectures
- However, Mr Barnawi pulled no punches, warning that towns which resisted Boko Haram in its mission to create an Islamic state would be flattened
- He also spoke of being against democracy and foreign education
- In his most recent magazine interview, he again objected to the name Boko Haram, by which local people call the group, as it means "Western education is forbidden" in Hausa
- He maintained IS was still strong in the region and promised to continue fighting West African governments.
Mr Shekau took over as the group's leader after its founder, Muhammad Yusuf, died in Nigerian police custody in July 2009.
Under his leadership Boko Haram became more radical, carried out more killings and swore allegiance to IS in March 2015.
In numerous videos, Mr Shekau taunted the Nigerian authorities, celebrating the group's violent acts including the abduction of the more than 200 Chibok schoolgirls in April 2014.
Nigeria's army has claimed to have killed him on several occasions, and he has not appeared in a video since joining IS.

Albanawi was arrested in April 2016, in Kogi state by a combined effort of security agencies in the country.

A book believed to be 'juju book', a spiritual book used to hypnotize their victims has been discovered by The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Borno.
The corps made this disclosure to News Agency of Nigeria in Maiduguri on Sunday
The Commandant of the NSCDC in the state, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi, disclosed this in Maiduguri in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Abdullahi said that the book, written in Arabic, was discovered during an operation by men of the command at an abandoned house in Dikwa Local Government Area of the state.
It is sad that many innocent souls had been dragged into submitting to Boko Haram through spiritual indoctrination.
The book, named “Guduma`, was used by the insurgents as a powerful charm to indoctrinate followers into submitting to the dictates of leaders of the sect.
Our findings revealed that the book was also used in deceiving victims and members of the sect into believing that it could make them invisible and also offer protection against bullet shots and bombs.
The spiritual book was abandoned by ‘Boko Haram’ after the takeover of Dikwa from the insurgents, two years ago, “he said.
Comrade Uchenna Madu, the leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has stated that the movement will support the ruthless Islamic sect Boko Haram killing thousands of Nigerian in the northern part of the country should they have been clamouring for secession, New Telegraph reports
The MASSOB leader made the declaration while explaining the movement's rationale behind their support for the Niger Delta Avengers, declaring that MASSOB is not apologetic for its stand.
Speaking to Sunday Telegraph yesterday Madu, said: “Beside the fact that your enemy’s enemy is naturally your friend, the Avengers have openly declared support for the Biafran struggle and for the release of Nnamdi Kalu.
They have a right to pursue whatever is their grouse against the Nigerian state and how they do it, is their choice. What we know is that we have found points of agreement with the group; our approaches may be different, but our pursuit for an independent identity is similar.” Madu explained that the Avengers have been consistent in their struggle and said he cared nothing about how the Niger Delta group chooses to fight their battles.
“Our conviction is that Nigeria as one nation is not accommodating every integral ethnic nationality and as such, is not working and cannot work. So we support anything that can accelerate the independence of oppressed ethnic nationalities in Nigeria. If the Niger Delta wants independence, let them get it because it contravenes no national or international law; if the Middle Belt wants their own sovereign state, let them get it; if the South West wants its own and is ready to fight for it, let them get it also. We will be ready to also support Boko Haram if they seek self-determination and not these cheap killings along ethno-religious lines.”
The MASSOB leader stressed that if a government chooses not to listen to peaceful agitation; it makes violent agitation attractive for other interest groups. Madu explained further: “Nigerians should not be surprised at the proliferation of militant agitations from across the country.
Common sense would suggest that ethnic agitations henceforth may be militant because people will reason that the road to non-violent agitation is long and slow and would rather settle for armed agitation and we will not blame any group for their methodology. But for us, we are non-violent and will remain non-violent. If they have refused to listen to us as peaceful as we have been, then let them listen to the Niger Delta Avengers and other aggrieved militant groups that will be forced into the struggle by the rampant injustice in the land.”
