BREAKING: PDP REJECTS Ondo Governorship Election Result, Heads To Court As USUAL
In the usual manner that has always herald Nigeria election, the PDP has released a statement rejecting the outcome of last Saturday's governorship election in Ondo state.

The outcome of the November 26, 2016 Gubernatorial Election in Ondo State as declared by Professor Abdul-Ganiyu Ambali, the Chief Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is a charade and not the true reflection of the will of the people of Ondo State.

2. INEC has however graduated from Inconclusive Elections as seen in Kogi, Bayelsa, Osun, FCT, Imo, Nassarawa and some other previous By-Elections in the Country to ‘Advanced Election Rigging’, as in the case of Edo and Ondo States Gubernatorial Elections.

3. It is common knowledge that the APC Agents openly bought votes of the electorates in the full glare of security operatives who did nothing to prevent such dastardly violation of the Electoral Law. It is not surprising that the electorates in Ondo state became so vulnerable to the corruptive influence of the APC because of the hash economic situation in the Country inflicted on Nigerians by the APC Administration which have indeed made all Nigerians virtually beggars in their own Country.

4. Nigerians will recall that we had persistently called for the postponement of the Election before Saturday, for at least two weeks to enable our Party Campaign and prepare properly for this Election as a result of the setback orchestrated by Justice Okon Abang and the charlatans in PDP who allowed themselves to be used by the APC to destroy our chances in the Ondo State Election.

5. The actions of INEC in collaboration with the APC led Administration left us no time to campaign and sell our Candidate and Party Manifesto to the electorates in Ondo State. Our persistent call for the postponement of the Election which was backed and supported by more than 20 other political parties were all rejected by INEC which were acting the script of the APC. It was a carefully planned and well orchestrated strategy to rig the Election well in advance by preventing the PDP from planning and campaigning for the Election. The APC has hereby introduced a new formula of rigging Election in Nigeria.

6. In view of the fact that the Election was blatantly manipulated from the beginning to the end to favour the APC, we vehemently reject the results of the November 26, 2016 Gubernatorial Election in Ondo State. The Election and all actions leading to it fall short of laid down principles guiding conduct of elections in Nigeria. We have instructed our Candidate and the Ondo State Chapter of our Party to proceed to the Tribunal to challenge the Outcome of the Election. We call on the Judiciary to redeem Nigeria's image on this matter as we request for the Total Cancellation of the Election in Ondo State.

7. Finally, we congratulate our Candidate, Hon. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, and our Party in the State for the gallant performance at the Poll, despite the severe injuries inflicted on us before, during and after the Election. We call on all our members and teeming supporters nationwide and Ondo State in particular to remain calm and continue to work with the leadership of the Party to move the PDP forward.
8. God bless Ondo State! God bless Nigeria!!!

Ondo Election: I Deliberately Plotted To Frustrate Mimiko, Jejede - Watch Video of Jimoh Ibrahim's 11th Hours Confession

eyitayo Jegede and Mimiko
Former factional governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Jimoh Ibrahim, has stated that his legal battle to fly the party’s flag was to stop Ondo State Governor, Segun Mimiko, from helping his protege win.

Eyitayo Jegede, who was declared the authentic candidate of the PDP by the Appeal Court, served as Commissioner for Justice under Mimiko and was preferred aspirant of the governor.

In a new footage which emerged Friday, Ibrahim said he was glad that he distracted Mimiko and Jegede, adding that the party will not win on Saturday.

He said: “Election will be held on Saturday. No matter what they do, it’s gone.

“Mimiko is just wasting his time. There’s nothing he can do.

“I decided deliberately lock him up and waste his time for three weeks…took him out the state, destabilized him.

“Now I have released him…two days to the election. He is dancing naked,” Ibrahim said full of smiles.

Ondo governorship: PDP professionals congratulate Jegede, Makarfi, urges Sheriff, Ibrahim to support them

JEGEDE
The National PDP Professionals and Business Group (NPPBG) has congratulated the National Caretaker Committee of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) led by Senator Ahmed Makarfi and the party’s flag bearer in this weekend’s governorship election in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede over the land mark victories it got in both the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.

In a press statement Thursday, the National Coordinator of NPPBG, Dr. Arome Salifu said the confirmation by the Court of Jegede as the party’s candidate for the Ondo election is a reflection of the wishes and desires of millions of party members and supporters worldwide.

While reiterating the confidence of the NPPBG in the ability of the Makarfi led caretaker committee to get the party out of its current crises, Dr. Salifu urged Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, erstwhile party flag bearer, Jimoh Ibrahim and other members of their faction to collapse their structures in support of the wish of the people.

The NPPBG which is an arm of the party has not spared any effort in trying to restore peace and harmony back into the erstwhile ruling party.

Dr. Salifu also congratulated Governor Olusegun Mimiko and millions of party faithful in Ondo State on the hard earned victory. He urged them not to be discouraged by the time spent pursuing the court victory but to mobilise voters en-masse and ensure Jegede’s victory on Saturday.

“We cannot afford to lose Ondo State to any other party and so no effort should be spared to ensure victory for the PDP at the Ondo governorship poll,” he said.

Jimo Ibrahim Head To Supreme Court As INEC Declares Jegede As Ondo PDP Candidate
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared Mr. Eytayo Jegede as the candidate of the PDP for the election coming up on Saturday.

The commission said it took the decision following the judgment of the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, which ordered it to remove the name of Ibrahim as the PDP candidate.

The Secretary to the Commission, Mrs. Agusta Okagwu, made the position of the commission known in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday night.

She said, “In compliance with the judgment delivered today, Wednesday, November 23, 2016, by the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, the Independent National Electoral Commission hereby declares that Mr. Eyltatyo legede (SAN) is now the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party  for the Ondo State governorship election scheduled for Saturday, November 26, 2016.

“lt will he recalled that in compliance with the order given by the Federal High Court, Abuja Division, on Friday,  October 14,  2016 (re-affirmed on October 27,  2016), the commission named Mr. Jimoh lbrahim as the PDP candidate for the governorship election.

“However, with today‘s judgment by the Court of Appeal, the commission, hereby, recognises  Mr. Jegede as the candidate of the PDP for the said election.’’

Meanwhile, the dethroned gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Jimoh Ibrahim has reacted to the judgment which ordered INEC to remove his name as the candidate of the PDP in Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo State.

Ibrahim said in a statement shortly after the judgment that he was sure of getting justice at the Supreme Court.

He said there was no way the incumbent Governor of Ondo State, Dr.  Olusegun Mimiko, would succeed himself by planting Jegede  as his successor.

His statement read in part, “I have read the decision of the Court of Appeal delivered today (Wednesday).  We have nothing to lose as the Supreme Court sits on the same case tomorrow. We shall get justice at the Supreme Court and if the PDP wins Saturday election, we shall have our four-year mandate to rule Ondo State.
