The lawmakers have also elected Hon. Iroju Ogundeji from Odigbo local government as Speaker and Hon. Ayo Arowele from Owo local government as the deputy speaker.
The impeachment exercise was carried out at one of the lawmakers’ quarters around 10pm on Tuesday.
However, reasons for the impeachment of the speaker and the deputy are still unknown as at the time of filing this report.
But a lawmaker, who spoke with DAILY POST in anonymity confirmed that the speaker and the deputy had been impeached.
“I will talk to you later. The speaker has been impeached. But I can’t give you the whole gist. We will talk tomorrow”, he said.
