Trump vs Clinton: My Prophecy MISUNDERSTOOD - Prophet TB Joshua Breaks Silence

Trump vs Clinton: My Prophecy MISUNDERSTOOD - Prophet TB Joshua Breaks Silence

TB Joshua
The Head of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T.B Joshua, has insisted his prophecy about the winner of the 2016 US Elections was not off the mark.

Joshua had predicted that a woman would emerge victorious.

However, in an incredible twist, Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton at the polls, to become the 45th president of America.

Predictably, there was backlash and criticism over the ‘failure’ of his prophecy .

But during a service on Sunday at the headquarters of his church at Ikotun, Lagos, Prophet TB Joshua said, “there was nothing controversial about the prophecy. It is human beings that are controversial.”

He insisted his words were misinterpreted because ”we are not on the same level of spiritual understanding.”

His explanation was met with applause from the congregation.

Trump: I'll Not Tear My Green Card By Jan. 20th - Soyinka Issued Fresh Statement
Punch Newspaper - Prof. Wole Soyinka, the Nigerian nobel laureate, on Saturday, came hard on those asking him to tear his US Green Card as he vowed to do once billionaire businessman, Donald Trump, won the US presidential election.

Online commentators have been daring the revered playwright to carry out his threat which he reportedly made few days before the election since Trump had won.

But Soyinka, in a statement he signed titled, “Red card, green card– Notes towards the management of hysteria”, described the online commentators as “noisome creatures” whose ignorance resonates largely on whatever they comment on.

He said, “Let me end with a Red Card to those noisome creatures, the nattering nit-wits of Internet: maybe Trumpland is not as despicable as the Naijaland you impose on our reality from your secure cesspits of anonymity.

“Go back to school. Your problem is ignorance, ignorance of whatever subject you so readily comment upon. Learn to study your subject before opening up on issues beyond your grasp.

“Sometimes you make one feel like swapping one green for another, out of embarrassment for occupying the same national space as you.’’

Soyinka maintained that he would carry out his threat but not at a time fixed by his critics.

He said, ‘‘If it even becomes convenient to bring it forward, I intend to do so, but please don’t come at me with plaints of time imprecision.

“I never discussed it with you, nor invited you to a private decision whose execution was already in the making.

“Do not try to browbeat me. It’s a waste of time – all you have to do is immerse yourselves in my antecedents. It will not attempt to deal with the notion of an exit time-table as conceived by others.’’

The scholar-critic, who also narrated why he decided in the past to issue a ‘Red Card’ to countries such as Australia, China, South Africa and Cuba, added that the decision on his US green card made while addressing a group of students at Oxford University was not a public lecture.

Melania Trump: The First Nude Star To Become America’s First Lady

Melania Trump: The First Nude Star To Become America’s First Lady
Punch Newspaper - On November 9, 2016, Donald Trump of the Republican Party surprised the world when he defeated Hillary Clinton of the Democratic Party to win the United States presidential election.

He will be formally sworn in as the 45th President of the US on January 20, 2017.

On the same day, his wife, Melania Trump, will assume the role of the First Lady of the US, becoming the first foreign-born woman to hold the position since Louisa Adams, the British-born wife of John Quincy Adams who served from 1825 to 1829.

The Office of the First Lady of the US is an entity of the White House Office, part of the Executive Office of the President.

The First Lady has her own staff that includes the Chief of Staff, White House Social Secretary, Press Secretary, White House Chief Floral Designer and White House Executive Chef.

Melania Trump: The First Nude Star To Become America’s First LadyMelania Trump: The First Nude Star To Become America’s First LadyMeanwhile, First Lady-designate Melania is in a way different from previous first ladies who had held the position: She is the only first lady to have posed nude.

Born on April 26, 1970 in Slovenia (formerly Yugoslavia), Melania is 46 — meaning that there is a 24-year age gap to her 70-year-old husband — she was raised by her Communist party member father, Viktor Knavs, who managed car dealerships for a state-owned vehicle manufacturer, and her mother, Amalija Ulnik, a pattern maker at a textile factory.

The First Lady-designate’s original name was Melanija Knavs, but she found fame as a model under the name, Melania Knauss.

After attending the Secondary School of Design and Photography in Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital, Melania enrolled in the University of Ljubljana, but dropped out a year later to pursue a career in modelling at the age of 16.

When she was 17, renowned fashion photographer, Stane Jerko, spotted her in Ljubljana as he left a fashion show and invited her for a trial photoshoot.

Her shoot with Jerko catapulted her into the spotlight, leading to a contract with an Italian modelling agency in Milan, Italy.

Since then, Melania has worked across Europe and has graced the world’s catwalks and magazines.

In 1995, Melania posed nude alongside for a French men’s monthly magazine. The “bombshell” photo set, obtained by the New York Post, shows her lying naked in a bed alongside Scandinavian model, Emma Eriksson.

Photographer Jarl Ale de Basseville, who took the pictures, said the images were “beauty and not porn,” adding, “I always loved women together because I have been with a lot of women who desired the menage a trois.”

An unnamed insider said Melania behaved “like a true professional” during the shoot and was “charming throughout.”

As a model, she has also appeared naked on the covers of British GQ magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Ocean Drive, In Style Weddings, New York Magazine, Avenue, Allure, Vanity Fair and Vogue.

She once told GQ, “My mum was in the fashion business. I was five years old when I did my first catwalk and did commercials at 16. I went professional after my studies. My mum loved fashion. We loved to travel and go to Italy and Paris.”

Melania reportedly arrived in the US on an H-1B visa which, through a quirk in immigration law, admits models as highly skilled workers alongside scientists and computer programmers.

Trump is a fierce critic of the scheme and has vowed to rail against the “rampant, widespread H-1B abuse.”

She got her green card in 2001, though, making her a US citizen.

Melania met her future husband Donald at a Fashion Week party in New York City in September 1998, while he was still married to, but separated from, Marla Maples.

Trump was there with Norwegian cosmetics heiress Celina Midelfart but made a beeline for Melania and asked for her number. But, because he had a date, she refused to give it to him — and instead asked the billionaire for his.

She said later, “If I give him my number, I’m just one of the women he calls. I wanted to see what his intention was. It tells you a lot from the man what kind of number he gives you. He gave me all of his numbers.”

A week later, Melania called him and they began seeing each other, only to break up for a few months when Trump toyed with the idea of running for the US President in 2000 as a member of the Reform Party.

In 2000, Melania also gave a rare joint -interview with Donald to TV personalty, Howard Stern, telling the shocked jock, “We have incredible sex at least once a day.” Trump then boasted about how hot Melania looked in “a very small thong.”

Married twice before, Trump proposed at the glitzy Costume Institute Gala in New York and they married in January 2005 at The Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida.

The reception was even attended by Hillary Clinton and her former President husband, Bill.

Melania gave birth to the couple’s only child, Barron William Trump, in 2006.

Melania, who speaks six languages fluently — Serbian/Croatian, English, French, Italian, German, and her native Slovenian — had in a campaign speech just five days before the election, outlined her vision for what her role would be in the White House if she were to become First Lady, saying she would work to combat a culture on social media that has become “too mean and too tough” and which is filled with insults based on “looks and intelligence.”

When asked by The New York Times in 1999 what her role would be if Donald Trump were to become president, she replied, “I would be very traditional. Like Betty Ford or Jackie Kennedy. I would support him.”

Obama, FBI "Plotted' My Defeat - Clinton Reveals As She Cried Uncontrollably After Lost

Hillary Clinton
New revelations about what happened after Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump in the US presidential elections have emerged.

It has been revealed that after she lost to Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton cried profusely and spoke incoherently in tears to a friend.

The revelation was made by American author, Ed Klein, who is a close ally of Clinton.

Klein made the revelation when he joined Steve Malzberg for an interview on Newsmax TV on Wednesday after Donald Trump shocked the world by winning the US presidency in his first ever political race.

Klein said Hillary Clinton called a friend and couldn’t stop crying.

She blamed FBI Director Comey and Barack Obama for the loss.

Ed Klein said: “Here’s what I know, not my opinion. About 6:30 this morning she called an old friend. She was crying inconsolably. She couldn’t stop crying. And her friend, her female friend from way, way back said it was even hard to understand what she was saying she was crying so hard. This is Hillary we’re talking about. Eventually her friend said she could make out that she was blaming James Comey, the Director of the FBI, for her loss, and, I don’t understand exactly, the president of the United States for not doing enough.”

Who Would Save Americans From America?, By Goke Butika

Hillary Trump
America has done it again. The union that prides itself as the exemplar of free world has elected a controversial candidate who is largely perceived as indecent bigot representing everything that is unpresidential, Donald Trump, and people across the globe fear for what the future holds for the world called superpower America.

Of course, I monitored what transpired right from the word go, and owned up to the fact that I preferred Hilary Clinton, and my opinion of how the election would go, was buoyed up by the American media and polls, but I must say that I began to question my formed opinion when the Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Comey came out that his bureau would reopen investigation of Clinton email saga. No sooner the pronouncement was made than the race became tight, but I saw more than that.

I have carefully perused through history of American presidential elections through information obtained on YouTube and other internet organs from America library, and I found reason why America and Israel must bond for life. They both have in their DNA, the craving from change-from bad to good or from good to bad. So, the ancient history of Jews and Moses with scriptural journey of 40 years speaks volume of aesthetic of American democracy.

After George Walker Bush presidency had brought the America into senseless wars in the middle East all in the pretense of looking for one man, Osama bin Laden groomed and trained by the same America to fight and dislodge Soviet Union from Afghanistan, a situation that dragged the country into terrible recession and job losses, the population united in grief and pain to seek alternative, which was democrat candidate, because the ideological wavelength of the party is known for economic repair and social social engineering. Fortunately, the party presented in 2008, a black candidate who is polished, suave and intelligent. He was coming from the core of the masses; he knew people were yearning for hope, and he became merchant of hope; he knew people were tired of war, he promised to suspend war; he knew America was in trouble with Muslim world, and that the country faced bleak future with terrorism given its carriage in Iraq, Afghanistan and others, and he promised to mend fence with the Muslim world. Barack Obama's message resonated with the people, and became a face of American dream instantly.

Close to eight years of economic rebounding, improved job provision, extermination of the alleged terror merchant, Osama bin Laden, terror attack free, and "human face" of America, the large segment of the population-call them white supremacists, racists or anti-establishment, if you like,  were tired of Democrat; they love Vladimir Putin of Russia who is perceived as the strongman; they were fed up with Obama polished image and gentlemanliness. And the people who were yet to feel the hope Obama promised eight years ago would not want to hear more of patience, and they could not endure Clinton presidency considered to be a continuation of Obama system. So, Trump saw those things, and keyed into the message.

Yes, he is perceived as sexist, bigot, racist and divisive figure, but Trump's message against the establishment and his posture as 'macho man' appeal to the disenchanted population. Besides, his scare mongering rhetoric works, because the affected demographics in the country refused to vote en mass, and before they say jack, Trump has won the electoral college, even if Clinton has won the popular vote. Here come the President-elect Trump.

Those who will be at the receiving end of Trump presidency should accept my sympathy in advance, but one thing must be taken away from this election-man as a social being is unpredictable, and I must say Karl Marx won in his argument when he said the forces of production, mode of production and exchange which configure social structure determine what obtains in the superstructure-theories (electoral polls and media), history, philosophy and politics.

I think the bookmakers have been brought to disrepute in this election, but the people of each country of the world should take their collective destiny into their hands, and elect leaders they deserve; that is the only way the Trump wall could be meaningless, because Americans could not even save themselves from the conspiracy theories of America at the hour of need and I pity the poor countries looking unto America for help.

"I'm Encouraged" - Obama Says After 90 Minutes Closed Door Meeting with Trump; Here's What They Discussed

"I'm Encouraged" - Obama Says After 90 Minutes Closed Door Meeting with Trump; Here's What They Discussed

US President-elect Donald Trump and President Obama
President-elect Donald Trump said yesterday it was a “great honour” to meet United States President Barack Obama for transition talks at the White House.

Obama said he was “encouraged” by their “excellent” and “wide-ranging” conversation, which lasted for about 90 minutes..

Trump had questioned Obama’s US citizenship and vowed to dismantle his legacy.

During the campaign, Obama called Trump “uniquely unqualified”.

The businessman also called Obama “the worst president in the history of the United States

However, Obama said he was “rooting” for him after his shock defeat of Hillary Clinton.

After their meeting at the White House, Obama said: “My number one priority in the coming two months is to try to facilitate a transition that ensures our president-elect is successful.”

He said they had discussed domestic and foreign policy and he had been “very encouraged” by Trump’s interest in working with his team on issues facing the U.S.

Trump said he would “very much look forward” to interacting with President Obama in future

“I have great respect, the meeting lasted for almost an hour and a half, and it could’ve, as far as I’m concerned, it could’ve gone on for a lot longer,” the president-elect said.

“We discussed a lot of different situations – some wonderful and some difficulties.”

Trump, who said he had never met Obama, called him a good man and said the two had discussed both “wonderful” things and the “difficult” challenges the country was facing.

On Wednesday, thousands took to the streets of major US cities denouncing Mr Trump after his shock defeat of Hillary Clinton.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest has insisted Obama is sincere about ensuring a smooth handover.

With the Republicans now holding a majority in both chambers of the US Congress, Mr Trump can more easily target key Obama initiatives like such as his healthcare reforms.

The president-elect’s transition team for the 10-week period until inauguration will be led by Chris Christie, Governor of New Jersey.

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is a leading contender to serve as attorney general and Representative Michael McCaul of Texas, chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, is a top choice for Homeland Security secretary, according to people familiar with the matter. Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama is interested in serving as defense secretary, the people said.

Mr Trump, who has never held elected office, has said his immediate priorities will be restoring the country’s infrastructure and doubling its economic growth

Trump flew from New York on his private jet and landed at Reagan National Airport, just outside the nation’s capital.

The president-elect was accompanied by his wife, Melania, who had a meeting with First Lady Michelle Obama.

His motorcade arrived at the White House’s South Lawn, where reporters weren’t able to observe the two men greeting each other, shortly before 11 a.m. New York time.

White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough was seen walking with Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, a close adviser to the president-elect, on the South Lawn while Obama and Trump met. Obama and Trump met alone but posed for photographs with a handful of senior aides after the meeting.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters the meeting was “robust” and “valuable.”

“It is no secret that the president-elect and I have some pretty significant differences,” Obama said in the Rose Garden on Wednesday. “But remember, eight years ago, President Bush and I had some pretty significant differences.”

Obama said he had told his “team to follow the example that President Bush’s team set eight years ago, and work as hard as we can to make sure that this is a successful transition for the president-elect.”

Trump didn’t mention Obama in his victory speech early Wednesday. He called for unity, saying, “It’s time for America to bind the wounds of division.”

“I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all Americans,” Trump said.

Neither man has addressed post-election protests in several major cities, including New York and Washington, where demonstrators have criticized Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric about African-Americans, Latinos, women, and Muslims.

God made Clinton lose, she wanted to edit the Bible - Okupe

Doyin Okupe, former special adviser to former president Goodluck Jonathan, says Hillary Clinton lost the US presidential race because she wanted to edit the Bible.

Okupe, who quoted many verses of the Bible in celebration of a Donald Trump win as the 45th president of the US,  said “the Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought, He maketh the devices of the people of non effect. The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever”.

“Trump contested against the entire american establishment, against virtually all the mainstream media, against all the living past american presidents, against majority of world leaders including the current american president, and the celebrated Clinton machinery, and he won! Only God can do this,” Okupe said.

“Ps 2 vs 1,2,4 says ‘why do the people rage, and nations imagine a vain thing. The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and His annointed,. He that sitteth in heavens shall laugh, the Lord shall have them in derision’.

“Hilary Clinton, her husband Bill and the Democrats are the protagonists of liberalism in america. They encourage homosexuality, same sex marriage and all sorts of societal immorality in the USA.”

Okupe alleged that Hillary wanted to edit the Bible to accommodate current social realities, which he said led to her downfall.

“To make matters worse in July this year Hilarry publicly stated that, the words of the Bible (the Word of God) be changed to accommodate ‘current’ social realities.

“What a blasphemy against Jehovah, the maker and ruler of the universe, the God of all flesh, the only living and Supreme God. The bible says ‘the word of God is settled’ how can we imagine that God will allow someone who will change His word to have power! Vanity and nothing short of vanity.

“The events of today is a robust testimony to all, christian and non Christians, about the awesomeness of this God, who has ridiculed all the so called Principalities and Powers of the world and has used the foolish things of this world to confound the wise men of the world.

“God is going to usher in a new order in the world and its affairs. Only the righteous will prevail. For this historic victory, of a man with no experience in politics or public or military service, We give ALL Glory to the Almighty God and His Son Jesus Christ to whom all honour, praise and adoration, is due.”

US Electoral System: Why Clinton Had Over 200,00 Votes Above Trump's, Yet Lost The Election

US Electoral System: Why Clinton Had Over 200,00 Votes Above Trump's, Yet Lost The Election

Hillary Clinton
This could be some consolation for Hillary Clinton: the majority of Americans actually wanted her to be president. In fact, more American voters picked her ahead of Donald Trump with roughly 98% of all the results collated. It would take a dramatic turn for Trump to overtake Clinton.

Associated Press collation of results shows that Clinton, the Democratic candidate, has so far polled 59,814,018 popular votes while Donald Trump, the Republican flag bearer, scored 59,611,678.

This represents a margin of about 200,000 votes which would have given Clinton the edge were it not for the US “indirect” electoral system which determines the winner by the electoral college and not the popular vote.

Trump has won 279 electoral votes, while Clinton had 228 – and these are the figures that really matter.

Three states are yet to complete vote reporting, but Trump is leading in Arizona and Michigan and Clinton is in control in New Hampshire.

This is purely mathematical: Trump crossed the magical 270 delegate vote count on election night.

After Mitt Romney lost in 2012, Trump had tweeted: “The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy.”

He just turned out to be the biggest beneficiary of the “disaster” since 2000.

California, with 55 electoral votes, has the highest number. Alaska, Delaware, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont and Wyoming each has three votes – the lowest. DC is also entitled to three delegate votes.

All American states, except Maine and Nebraska, pledge their electoral votes to the candidates who won the popular votes there.

Data analysis by TheCable suggests that Clinton failed mainly because of the outcomes in Florida and Pennsylvania, two states with a combined figure of 49 electoral votes.

If she had won the popular votes in those states – as President Barack Obama did in 2008 and 2012 – she would have been the president-elect. She would have gained 49 votes and hit the magical 270 figure.

In Pennsylvania, she scored 2,844,705 while Trump got 2,912,941 – a difference of less than 100,000 votes. That meant 20 delegate votes out of her hands.

The Florida margin was slightly wider: she scored 4,485,745 to Trump’s 4,605,515. That was 29 delegates lost.

The final results were not yet in at the time of this report, but the total popular vote tally should favour Clinton as absentee votes trickle in.

Trump Victory Good For Naira

Trump Victory Good For Naira

Trump Victory Good For Naira
Donald Trump victory is good for the naira, and many other currencies around the world, the markets have shown.

A Trump victory is seeing a plunge in the US dollar, and a record fall in the Mexican Peso, which has lost over 12 percent in the past 24 hours.

The US dollar has fallen by over three percent to the Japanese yen, while the Mexican Peso is ploughing fresh record lows against the US dollar and the euro, with fears that a Trump presidency will hurt the Mexican economy hard, the UK Guardian is reporting.

The greenback fell as much as 3.8 percent against the yen, the biggest intraday decline since the Brexit referendum, 2.4 percent against the euro and 2.3 percent against the Swiss franc.

For the Nigerian naira, a drop in the dollar may not necessarily yield a strengthening of the currency against other currencies, but the naira will be stronger, relative to the dollar.

According to Lukman Otunuga, market analyst at FXTM, “a Clinton victory may indirectly impact Nigeria via a resurgent Dollar and heightened US rate hike expectations for December”.

“Markets still remain supportive of a Clinton victory though, but as said, this will punish the naira and Nigeria even further.

“We have a situation where both candidates could represent a negative impact to the global economy. A Trump victory may also impact Nigeria via uncertainty and risk aversion which will punish emerging markets”.

Jameel Ahmad, chief market strategist at FXTM, had earlier said a Trump victory will be good for the British pound, which may rebound from being the worst major currency of 2016.

Ahmade goes on to say “Donald Trump becoming the President of the United States could result in growth forecasts being downgraded at least in the short term due to investor uncertainty, which will in theory weaken demand for commodities like oil and weigh on the valuation of oil”.

In the long run, this may be bad for the Nigerian economy, with oil prices expected to fall again.

BREAKING: Trump wins key state of Florida in bitter blow to Hillary Clinton

Donald Trump
Donald Trump has delivered a potentially fatal blow by winning the key state of Florida.

The Republican candidate’s victory puts him well ahead of Hillary Clinton and takes him a step closer to holding the keys to the White House.

Florida is often seen as the bellwether for the way the election will go and led to the New York Times putting Donald Trump ahead of Hillary Clinton as the likely president.

Clinton had hoped that a surge in the Hispanic vote would help push the state in her favour, but that has not materialised.

Markets reacted to the news by plummeting with the Peso, Mexico’s currency, falling and the Dow Jones dropping by 450 points.

Clinton, Trump notch early wins as US polls start closing

Clinton, Trump notch early wins as US polls start closing

US Election: Clinton and Trump
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump locked up their first state wins Tuesday as polling stations closed in the eastern United States, with the world waiting anxiously to see who will head to the White House.

Some 200 million Americans were asked to make a historic choice — between electing the nation’s first woman president, or handing the reins of power to a billionaire populist who has upended US politics with his improbable outsider campaign.

With voting over in a handful of states and Americans queueing to cast their ballots farther west, television networks called Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia for the Republican Trump, and Vermont for the veteran Democrat.

None of these early results were a surprise and all eyes were fixed on key swing states like Florida or Pennsylvania that will likely decide the result of the long, bruising contest for the right to lead the world’s biggest economy.

Clinton went into the day with a slim opinion poll lead and a more obvious route to winning the key states that will decide the electoral college.

But at the venue where Trump will hold his planned victory party in New York, supporters were upbeat, expressing confidence that he would stage a major political upset.

“We feel very good about where we are right now, about the turnout numbers we’re seeing in record numbers in the areas we need,” said John Fredericks, Trump’s Virginia state chairman.

From crowded Manhattan to Virginia horse country to balmy California, long lines snaked into the streets outside polling stations.

“Hillary, she has a history,” said Charmaine Smith, 50, a retail manager as she cast her ballot in Harlem. “All Trump has is the bullying.”

An hour’s drive north, a crowd of admirers chanted “Madam President” as Clinton and her husband Bill, the former president, voted near their home in Chappaqua, before emerging to shake hands and chat with the crowd.

“So many people are counting on the outcome of this election, what it means for our country,” the 69-year-old secretary of state said. “And I’ll do the very best I can if I’m fortunate enough to win today.”

An exit poll by CNN however found that only four in 10 voters were optimistic that incumbent president Barack Obama’s successor would do any better than he has during his two terms in office.

After a poisonous presidential race that feels like it has lasted for eternity, the polls have finally opened!

And although some omens point to an upcoming Donald Trump presidency, it wasn’t the best start to election day for the Republican.

The globally renowned artist Alison Jackson has taken a series of pictures of a spoof Donald Trump celebrating as if he has won the presidential election.

Someone has done a lookalike shoot of President Trump celebrating… and it’s glorious

The obligatory footage of the candidates outside their polling stations featured Trump casting his vote at a school near his home in New York City.
But the public appearance had a very different atmosphere to Trump’s rambunctious rallies – and may even have shaken the businessman’s steadfast confidence in himself.

He climbed out of an SUV to a negative reception, with a chorus of boos and jeers filling the air.

There were some cheers for the divisive billionaire, but they were largely drowned out by protesters who turned out to air vitriol towards Trump.

It’s hardly a surprise, as even though New York is Trump’s home state, Hillary Clinton is expected to win there comfortably.

US Election: Some Early Results Filter
Voters in a New Hampshire hamlet, Dixville Notch have kicked off voting in the US presidential election.

Residents of the hamlet cast their votes at midnight. Out of the six votes cast, Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump four votes to two, a result that may foreshadow voting trends hours later in the rest of polling stations across America.

Libertarian Gary Johnson received one vote, and Mitt Romney received a surprise write-in ballot, USA Today reported.

According to New Hampshire law, communities with fewer than 100 voters can open their polls at midnight and close them as soon as all registered voters have cast their ballots.

The best known of these three towns, Dixville Notch has been voting at midnight every election since 1960. Neil Tillotson, the former owner of the Balsams Grant Resort Hotel, which closed in 2011, started midnight voting in Dixville in 1960 to stir up publicity for the resort. Almost all of the Dixville voters are employees of the resort.

This could be Dixville’s last year in the election spotlight, however.

Les Otten, a New England businessman, bought the Balsams and plans to redevelop it into a massive ski resort. That could bring the population in Dixville over 100 people, thereby ending its midnight voting tradition.

Trump wins Millsfield

Millsfield, located just over 12 miles down the road from Dixville Notch, is the newest town to get in on the act. Millsfield began midnight voting as early as 1952 (no one seems certain exactly when) and stopped the practice in the 1960s (again, no one seems certain exactly when). The town was invited to take the tradition back up last year by New Hampshire’s secretary of State, in honour of the 100th anniversary of the New Hampshire primary.

In other results, Clinton also beat Trump in Hart’s Location 17-14, but Trump was the overwhelming favourite in Millsfield, with a 16-4 edge. Overall, in the three tiny towns, Trump won 32 votes, while Clinton got 25.

Libertarian Gary Johnson picked up three votes. Bernie Sanders, John Kasich and 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney got write-in votes.

Meanwhile both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump raced through several battleground states on Monday in a last-ditch attempt to encourage their supporters to show up and vote on Tuesday.

Clinton sought to capture more support from Latinos, African-Americans and young people, while Trump looked to win over disaffected Democrats and rev up a middle class that he said has been side-lined by the political establishment.

Clinton held the biggest rally of her campaign in Philadelphia on Monday night, drawing a crowd that the city’s Fire Department put at 33,000 to hear her and President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and rockers Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi.

“Tomorrow we face the test of our time,” Clinton told supporters, saying they could decide what sort of country they wanted to live in. “We choose to believe in a hopeful, inclusive, big-hearted America.”

Obama, who campaigned earlier in the day for Clinton in Ann Arbor, Michigan, reiterated his charge that Trump is “temperamentally unfit to be commander in chief,” and said Clinton offered an experienced and accomplished alternative.

“You don’t just have to vote against someone, you have someone extraordinary to vote for,” Obama said. “She will work and she will deliver, she won’t just tweet.”

Trump told voters at an evening rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, they had one question facing them at the ballot box on Tuesday.

“Do you want America to be ruled by the corrupt political class or do you want America to be ruled again by the people?” he asked. “Tomorrow the American working class will strike back.”

With only hours left before Election Day, the Clinton campaign was boosted by Sunday’s unexpected announcement by FBI Director James Comey that the agency stood by its July decision not to press any criminal charges in an investigation of Clinton’s email practices while she was secretary of state.

The Reuters/Ipsos States of the Nation project gave Clinton a 90 percent chance of defeating Trump, seeing her on track to win 303 Electoral College votes out of the 270 needed, to Trump’s 235.

With surveys indicating a tight race in Michigan, which Democrats have long counted on winning, both candidates made campaign appearances there. Pennsylvania, another vote-rich state, was also seen as fertile ground by both camps in the closing hours of their campaigns.

US Election: Clinton's Democrats Lose Voters Intimidation Suit Against Trump At 11th-Hour

US Election: Clinton's Democrats Lose Voters Intimidation Suit Against Trump At 11th-Hour

The US Supreme Court on Monday rejected an 11th-hour move by the Democratic Party in Ohio seeking to prevent Donald Trump supporters from carrying out certain actions that could be considered voter intimidation.

The legal battle, followed across the country because of its potential implications, had stemmed from Trump’s assertions on the campaign trail — without providing evidence — that the election was likely to be “rigged” and that his supporters should watch polling sites on Tuesday.

Fearing this call would lead to Trump supporters intimidating voters, particularly minorities who are more likely to support Democrat Hillary Clinton, the Ohio Democratic Party filed a lawsuit and initially won their case in federal court on Friday.

US District Judge James Gwin had issued a ruling barring activities including following, questioning or photographing voters or their vehicles.

The Trump campaign appealed and won, with the Sixth Circuit US Court of Appeals in Cincinnati on Sunday suspending Gwin’s order, saying the Ohio Democratic Party had not sufficiently substantiated their arguments.

On Monday, the shorthanded Supreme Court — with eight justices instead of the usual nine as Republicans have blocked President Barack Obama’s nominee to replace the late conservative justice Antonin Scalia — sided with the appeals court.

In keeping with protocol, the high court is reluctant to intervene just before a national election.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said in a statement that she voted to deny the Democratic party’s case because Ohio already has laws in place to stymie voter intimidation.

USA Decides 2016: Hillary Clinton Remains The Better Qualified Candidate, by Adedayo Osho

Hillary Clinton
Until her exit as Secretary of State in February 2013, Hillary Clinton has been one of American women-politician who displays rare breed of intellect. Beyond patriotic service, or the empathy to protect [American] national pride, her intent to run for US Presidency in 2016 may no doubt, largely be tied to attendant prestige accrued to power, or the utilisation of same.

Political historians proved that the history of human existence and the species' urge for power has been overshadowed by the crave to influence the system, and by extension, the society. The author's assertion applies to political-hustler world over.

One can predict dynamics of power-play by those who once occupy political office[s] under given regimes; newly entrant power-grabber and actors long relegated to mere spectators if elected possess the tendency to drive hitherto prosperous nations into teeter. When you combine Hillary Clinton's previous experience at the corridor of power in various sensitive political offices; how she piloted American foreign policy, integrating continents to embrace US as a friendly partner in progress; her assiduous effort to enact health care plan; and despite obvious lacuna in effecting lasting peace in Libya, her commitment to key the US so as to cultivate deeper investment in Africa, then she is the next answer for Blacks in US.

More recently, I have had to distance myself from anything Donald Trump. This was informed by his many reckless statements ranging from anti-Islam, lack of respect for the female demography, and his ailing utterances about Mexicans and Black race at large living on the soil of USA. When in history has religion, race and gender become pronounced by any enlightened American candidate running for its Presidency?

Questions have been around Trump's background. Men with "brutal record and experiences" says, John Lander, "are prone to lead their nation to generational atrocities when elected" into position of authority. It is important to state that the Presidency of the USA is one of the greatest political offices in the world. It suffice to presume same deserve a scale of respect by h/er occupier.

Many countries in North America has become dependent on USA for financial assistance for long. For instance, in February 2015, the Obama administration asked Congress for $750 million of aid for Central America to improve on security, and squelch corruption. Will Donald Trump who is aiming to build a barbed-wire border to mitigate against inflow of Mexican immigrants bother to assist any American country in need, needless, Africa?

It is a very alarming development how well-schooled world citizens keep defending Donald Trump that he did not made such wreaking statements simply because they are becoming to hunt him as election day appears. Such is a tale of scholarship conspiracy, isn't? Also very embarrassing of the support for Trump, are African families who predominantly depend on foreign money transfers, the category of those who queue in front of Ria, Moneygram, Western Union, as seen all over banks. What will be your gain if Trump deport that relative of yours who does those transfers?

Because Lady Angela Merkel of Germany, the Chancellor of that largest European economy absorbed the largest number of Syrian refugees, one is made to concur without doubt that women do have sympathy and are best social-welfare inclined. This inform us to presume that Hillary Clinton may be sympathetic to countries-in-need.

A reprieve on impending war against Blacks and Muslims in USA is possible only if we can all stand behind a true democrat: Hillary Clinton.

Forget about that concocted "Email Scandal" instituted against Clinton, an accusation FBI can not publicly come out victorious. She remains the best, most qualified for the President of The United States [POTUS]. Even the most ethical human ruler is subject to inherent imperfection and propaganda.
