The rumoured death of President Muhammadu Buhari has continued to spark up controversies among a section of Nigerians on the social media.

This is coming after the new picture, which was posted on Friday night, showed the president in a relaxed mood with some of his visitors, including Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun.

The new photos were posted on Facebook Friday night by President Buhari’s personal assistant, Bashir Ahmad and another user, Buhari Sallau.

Sallau captioned the photos: “Today in London President Muhammadu Buhari with some guests, among them Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun…. yet, Some Haters are saying the President is dead or sick in hospital.”

But there are strong indications that the photos are old because immediately the photos were shared, some analysts expressed their reservation, many of whom have said the photo was from President Buhari’s visit to the UK last year.

A user, Jeffy Jeff commented: “I don’t wish Mr President dead but this pic was taken at his previous trip to London on health ground when Atiku visited him.”

Another, Prince Adetunji Adepoju Adedinni, claimed Amosun was in Ogun state yesterday and couldn’t have been in the UK.

He wrote, ”Gov. Amosun is currently in Ogun state and that is him on the seat there. How come? This pic was a visit of his last visit when Amosun visited him.

“The IG and top police officers went on Tuesday, the governors are making plans to go too and they want us to believe all is well with the president?? Why is this sudden visit to a man who left the country just few days ago and should be on his way back to the country in few days from now? What are they going to hurriedly tell him that is not worth waiting or probably put a call through to him in UK??

“I can’t believe some Nigerians could be this gullible! Something is fishy and the earlier we are informed about it, the better.”

Another user, Muhammad M Yusuf wrote: “Another lie busted. Who is fooling who?”

Wilfred E. Okeke: “Mr. Bashir kindly say something on this comment. Am so confused.”

The UNTOLD SECRET Resolution Of Southwest Leaders At Ibadan Meeting; The Hot Exchange; How Regional Sole Leadership Annulled

tinubu and Southwest APC leaders
Emerging report from the much talked Ibadan southwest leaders' meeting suggests that the region has seized to be controlled by a single person as the leaders have unanimously adopted the collegiate leadership style for the region, report according to ThisDay Newspaper detailed.

According to the report, it was sanctioned at the Ibadan meeting that each leader should hold their local authority in the politics of their state. Meaning no single individual will be regarded as the regional leader.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) met in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, ostensibly to review the state of the party in the zone, some of the sordid details of the reportedly heated meeting, which forced the idea of collegiate leadership have begun to emerge, especially the alleged dirty in-fighting that took place amongst some of the gladiators.

It was gathered, according to ThisDay Newspaper that the Ibadan peace meeting almost went out of control when some of the leaders started to accuse one another of betrayal and disloyalty to the leadership in the zone.

The meeting, it was learnt, had started with opening remarks from the host governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, followed by a former chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, who admonished the gathering before a former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu, further laid the foundation for discussions at the meeting.

Although the leadership of the party had also brought to the meeting, some development professors to address the gathering on development concepts and see what to take away from it to their respective postings, some of the participants had quickly pointed out that the meeting was not called for lectures on development concepts but to resolve the animosity that exists within the caucus in the zone.

Whilst the meeting had allowed all present to speak their mind about whatever ill-feelings they had, the dirty fights did not however start till the Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, and the former governor of the state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, reportedly openly attacked his Ogun State counterpart, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, who is the immediate past governor of Ekiti State.

According to sources, Aregbesola was said to have screamed at the top of his voice, accusing both Amosun and Fayemi of betrayal to the South-west leadership, insinuating also that they were the very reason the party in the zone is in the state it is.

He was said to have made specific reference to the post-Ondo governorship election meeting held some weeks ago in Abeokuta, Ogun State, saying Amosun set them up by revealing details of the meeting verbatim.

It was at that point that Fayemi, who allegedly did most of the talking was said to have stood up to state his case in a manner that laid the tone for further discussion.

Starting with the allegation of betrayal and disloyalty, specifically against Tinubu, Fayemi was said to have told the gathering that comparing him to the late Chief Ladoke Akintola of the old western region had gone on for too long and that it was a story sold by Aregbesola and his likes to make him and the others look bad.

He was said to have asked the meeting to determine between the two of them, the person that suits the Akintola description – either him that stood by the party and did that which the party wanted or Aregbesola who revolted against the party and even posted one of his most trusted aides, Mr. Bola Ilori, to campaign for a candidate of a different party.

He was said to have told Tinubu that he was fond of believing every tale brought to him by Aregbesola, without as much as checking with others, adding that except he starts treating all of his mentees equally, he would continue to have the kind of problem he is having with a majority of them in the party.

He was said to have further asked Tinubu if he had ever called him to speak about where his interest was and he worked against it (referring to the Ondo crisis), a question to which Tinubu was said to have quickly dismissed, saying also that as a democrat he (Tinubu) had no interest in anyone but was only forced to speak up when Dr. Tunji Abayomi accused him of bias.

On this note, Fayemi therefore affirmed his position on the Ondo election, saying since there was no direct order from the top, apart from the manipulations by Aregbesola and his cohorts, he had a right as an individual to support whoever he wanted the same way Aregbesola opted for a non-APC candidate in an APC battle.

According to another source present at the meeting, Fayemi also made specific mention of an interview believed to have been orchestrated by enemies within to make him look bad by claiming he disparaged the leadership of Tinubu in the zone.

Before denying having anything to do with the interview which went viral on the social media, Tinubu was said to have quickly intercepted, saying he saw the rebuttal by Fayemi and that he believed his own side of the story. But Fayemi complained that such a move showed the degree of desperation by some elements within to demonise some of them believed to be rebellious to the leadership of Tinubu in the zone.

Amosun, who allegedly had his own altercation with Aregbesola was however said to have added that it was bad enough that the fake Fayemi interview went viral on the social media, that some of such falsehood gained prominence on the front page of a national daily believed to be owned by their leader spoke volume of the bad blood within.

He was said to have also told the gathering to ask if there was anything Tinubu had asked of him and he did not do, yet he gets most of the attacks and criticism from a newspaper believed to be Tinubu’s and by extension, theirs as a political family. He said he nursed no guilt because his conscience was clear and therefore left everything to God if he ever did anything deliberately to undermine Tinubu.

A few other persons, like another former governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, also spoke their mind in the bid to clear all grudges. It was Adebayo, according to sources that plainly situated the collegiate leadership idea before it was accepted by the whole meeting, which sanctioned that each leader should hold their local authority in the politics of their state.

When it was certain that all present had spoken their mind on their grievances, Akande then asked Tinubu to do a general response to all that was said by everyone since they were largely about him, with a view to putting the animosity behind them at once.

Thus, in his response, Tinubu was said to have dismissed allegations of bias amongst his mentees and also refuted the allegation that Aregbesola was snitching on the others, saying he had tried as much as possible to be fair to everyone to the best of his ability and that he had nothing against anyone.

He allegedly tried to justify this by recalling that he recently spoke to the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, from overseas, where he was vacating and had jocularly told him that “You are working hard there and I am enjoying here.” The same way he allegedly reached out to Fayemi days back to help attend to some foreign nationals, who needed help.

To that end, he reportedly appealed to everyone to let go of the bickering, adding that the future of the party in the zone was the most important thing to its leadership.

It was against this backdrop that a reconciliation committee comprising Akande, Osoba, Adebayo and Tinubu was set up to look into all the issues raised and resolve them once and for all.

Soon after the committee was set up, Ajimobi was said to have quickly given an idea on how to start, saying there would not be genuine reconciliation without first reconciling for instance, Fashola and his successor, Akinwunmi Ambode; Fayemi and Aregbesola; Amosun and Aregbesola; as well as himself and the Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu.

On that note, the Ibadan meeting ended, with the younger elements, having their way with the pushed collegiate agenda and the older folks agreeing to their terms in the interest of peace and the development of the region.

Ogun 2019: You're Not God, Can't Stop My Guber Ambition, Tinubu's Man, Senator Yayi Hits Back At Gov. Amosun

Ogun 2019: You're Not God, Can't Stop My Guber Ambition, Tinubu's Man, Senator Yayi Hits Back At Gov. Amosun

 Senator Solomon Adeola
Popularly known a Yayi, the Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Communications, Senator Solomon Adeola, yesterday hit back at Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State over his declaration that some governorship aspirants are not qualified to succeed him in 2019.

Adeola, who spoke at a Christmas party organised in Sango-Ota by a former state Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Chief Samuel Aiyedogbon, said only God will determine the next governor of the state.

Senator Adeola is believed to be a core loyalist to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker noted that he had been contesting and winning elections for about 20 years and was not afraid to throw his hat into the ring again in 2019.

Amosun had, at an APC stakeholders’ meeting in Abeokuta last week, declared that none of the seven aspirants, who had indicated interest to succeed him in 2019 would become governor in the state.

At the meeting, the governor also denied that he was at loggerheads with former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the erstwhile Ogun governor, Chief Olusegun OsobaBut yesterday, Adeola, representing Lagos West Senatorial District, expressed surprise at Amosun’s remark and contended that nobody was capable of determining the next governor except God.

He said: “I have been contesting for about 20 years and I have been winning. If I have not been doing good things, it wouldn’t have been possible.

I am, therefore, assuring you that I will continue to do the good works for which I’m renowned.

“All that you have lost will be restored. When you go to the local governments, there is nothing there again.

All your losses will be restored when I emerge as the governor. “Some people have said certain seven people have come out and approached them, that they don’t have leadership qualities.

I have the belief that it is only God as well as the entire people of Ogun State have the right to determine who is fit to become next governor.

“That is why we have decided to come to the people for consultation and inform them that it is our desire to take Ogun State to enviable height.

By God’s grace and with the support of the people, we shall be successful. “I am resolute and determined.

Some people have been asking whether Yayi will contest or return to Lagos; I am assuring you that this one (in 2019) is a must.”

How We Bought Akeredolu's Victory In Ondo, Our Plan To Finish Tinubu In Lagos - Gov. Amosun Caught On Tape At A Secret Meeting

Akeredolu Amosun Tinubu
The Nation - There is disquiet in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State following Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s hint that he might contest the Central senatorial seat in 2019.

Amosun was said to have dropped the hint at a meeting he held with members of the Ogun State House of Assembly and their National Assembly counterparts at the Governor’s Office in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

The governor was also said to have revealed how he and some unnamed APC chieftains bought the votes that earned the party’s candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu, victory in the November 26 governorship election in Ondo State.

A source, who claimed to have an audio recording of the governor’s speech at the forum quoted Amosun as saying that he was under severe pressure to contest the Ogun Central senatorial district seat in 2019.

The seat is occupied by Senator Lanre Tejuoso who, incidentally, was at the meeting and was said to have been visibly shocked by the governor’s speech.

The source quoted the governor as saying: “I am under enormous pressure to contest for the Senate seat of my senatorial district.

“I said to myself, I can’t be anything less than number three when I go back to the Senate.

“I might not contest and I might contest. Even Tejuoso that is seated here might recontest and might not recontest.

“The same goes for Micky (the lawmaker representing Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode/Odeda Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives) and others here.”

The governor was also said to have bragged about how votes were bought in the Ondo State election, vowing to repeat the feat in Ogun State the 2019.

The governor was quoted as saying: “We were just laughing… Unknown to them, we brought in N1 million per unit.

“I got the money out from Abuja and we will repeat same in Ogun come 2019.

“I am concerned about just seven local governments—the five in Ogun Central, Sagamu and Ado-Odo/Ota.

“I am prepared to spend N1 billion in Sagamu, N1 billion in Ado-Odo/Ota, then N2 billion in Ogun Central”.

The governor was reported to have said in yoruba: “We are aware of the moves by some of you. But if I get to know you have gone public with such moves, you are finished.”

he reported hinted on his plans to create crisis for Asiwaju Tinubu in Lagos APC.

He said: “Even Lagos will go out of Asiwaju’s grip. We will bring in few PDP (members) to decamp to APC and cause them problems (laughter). You don’t know anything. You can go ahead and tell them o; I don’t care”.

None of the House of Assembly and National Assembly members spoke at the meeting.
But at a larger meeting of the state’s chapter of the APC larger caucus in Abeokuta yesterday, Amosun reacted to many things he said were written about him in the social media regarding the politics of the state and the 2019 elections, saying he was not bothered by them and describing their authors as “traitors and cowards”.

He said: “They said they have audio and I said they are cowards or even traitors if they are inside the hall, if they have audio, don’t wait for audio, this is me, I will not only give you the audio, do the video, I am here personally  and the way we are brought up whatever we want to say, we will say it openly.

“Those cowards or those traitors if they are trying to record something, I believe those people don’t have anything to do really and truly, you remember when I told you what we use to do truly.

“If you want something, there are several ways of getting it.

“Imagine people said that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will finish him in Lagos, and I said don’t worry, they don’t know what they are saying.

“By the way, I say it all the time, that Asiwaju that you see, not money, he didn’t give me any money. No. And I said it often, ‘Won kii fi oju oloore gbole o (you don’t repay good with evil)’.

“When I needed him, he stood by me.

“I talk to him despite all of those things people will want to say.

“I think they are afraid to write something about what we are doing and what we are not doing.

“We have responsibilities to govern. Please don’t be distracted by somebody said this or that.

“But let me say this for us in Ogun State: I may not be able tell you quickly and say this is who our governor will be. But we know those who will not be governors.

“This is Ogun State. This is where I was born. My primary school, secondary school, and tertiary institutions took place here. So, if I am speaking, I am speaking from the position of strength.

“And I know with all our elders, even those that are political, I know those who will not be governors.

“So, I know that at the appropriate time, we will get our people together and say these are your sons and daughters.

“We will pick, and whoever we pick is going to be governor.

A war of attrition, power play and popularity-test may have begun en route 2019 Ogun State Government House as Governor Ibikunle Amosun has reportedly ordered the demolition of a house in belonging to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, famously known as YAYI.

The House, which is reportedly situated as Sen. Yayi's Ilaro home will be demolished in matters of days, News Punch has learnt.

According to information and document obtained, the incumbent governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has directed the urban and physical planning ministry of his government to go on a demolishing spree of the properties identified to be properties of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola aka YAYI.

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola is a very close ally of the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He is currently representing Lagos West senatorial District at the upper legislative chamber

This came after the Ilaro home the YAYI hosted over 200 former Ogun State local government councillors. The ministry officials visited the mansion on the 6th of December, 2016 giving the owner a notice of demolition in 3 days.

Other targeted property of YAYI include his Abeokuta GRA residence and few of the residences of his Ogun State political supporters like that of Rt Hon Tunji Egbetokun, former speaker Ogun State House of Assembly.

Reports suggest that the governor is going increasingly impatient and intolerant with the growing popularity of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola aka YAYI coupled with his visible physical appearances in the state.

Efforts to reach the Ogun State born Lagos politician Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola or his media adviser Bashorun Kayode Odunaro proved abortive.

It was further gathered that the state government had stationed a bulldozer and excavator less than 1km away to effect the demolition as soon as the 3 day deadline lapses.

The house marked for demolition according to the document obtained stated it has no approved building plan.

Picture of the demolition notice and marked residence is attached.

APC Crisis: Drama As Angry Aregbesola Walks Out On Journalists At Abeokuta Secret Meeting With Amosun, Ajimobi, Akande

APC Crisis: Drama As Angry Aregbesola Walks Out On Journalists At Abeokuta Secret Meeting With Amosun, Ajimobi, Akande

Ajimobi and rauf aregbesola
There was a mild drama at Ogun State Government House Isale-Igbehin as Osun State Governor, Ogbani Rauf Aregbesola walked out on Journalists who were trying to quiz him on a closed door meeting help between him, the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, Abiola Ajumobi; the Oyo's and the former interim national Chairman of the crisis-ridden All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Bisi Akande,

The meeting, which according to Punch Newspaper came after they left the ‘Tributes Day’ held by the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, in honour of the late Sir Olaniwun Ajayi, an Afenifere chieftain, at his Isara-Remo home.

Akande in company with the governors of Oyo and Osun states, Abiola Ajimobi and Rauf Aregbesola, visited the Ogun State Government House, Abeokuta and held a closed-door meeting with the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun.

As reported by Punch Newspaper, the meeting, which lasted for one hour, was not unconnected with the crisis rocking the APC.

Emerging from the Government House, both Akande and Ajimobi, while fielding questions from journalists, however, denied that there was crisis in the APC.

When asked by journalists on the alleged rift among  some leaders in the party, Akande merely replied, “There is no crisis in the party, we are one.”

Ajimobi also said the party was crisis-free.

When asked  why he was not at the APC governorship rally in Ondo State, Ajimobi simply replied, “Some of us were out of the country. Me, for example, I was in China.”

There was however a mild drama shortly after the closed- door meeting,  as Aregbesola  walked out on journalists who tried to get his comment.

Ondo Election: Judge Bribery Scandal Rocks Fashola, Fayemi, Amosun

Ondo Election: Judge Bribery Scandal Rocks Fashola, Fayemi, Amosun

Judge Bribery Scandal Rocks Fashola, Fayemi, Amosun
Just two weeks to the controversial ridden gubernatorial election in Ondo State, the Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, his Solid Minerals counterpart, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, at a secret meeting allegedly boasted to compromise Judge handling a case involving Mr. Olusola Oke's eligibility suit.

Olusola Oke is the candidate of the Alliance for Democracy, AD. He has since been dragged to court by the Party's legal adviser in an eligibility suit.

Oke, yesterday Oke yesterday urged President Muhammadu Buhari to caution some ministers who he said were bent on stopping him from contesting the November 26 election, The Nationa Newspaper report suggests

Addressing a news conference in Akure, the Ondo State capital, yesterday, the Director-General of the Olusola Oke Campaign Organisation (OOCO), Mr. Bola Ilori, specifically, fingered Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, his Jigwa State counterpart who chaired the All Progressives Congress (APC) Primary Election Committee, Abubakar Badaru, Minister of Works Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Solid Minerals Kayode Fayemi and  Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosu as  arrowheads of the plot to stop him. This, said Ilori, is to pave the way for their “protégé”, APC’s Rotimi Akeredolu.

His words: “This plot to stop Chief Oke from contesting the election is simply to clear the way for their protégé, Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who is also vying for the Ondo State governorship position.

“The plan of these people is to prevent Olusola Oke from contesting the election because their candidate, Akeredolu, is not in contention, having lost relevance with the people. Thus, they have resorted to lots of underhand tactics to stop him.

“We are aware of the pedigree of President Buhari, his uprightness and his zero tolerance to dirty tricks to get advantage of people, even against his avowed antagonists, but this cabal is using the paraphernalia of the Federal Government with impunity to get unsavoury advantage, thus tainting his good work.

“When they noted that Olusola Oke was becoming popular by the day while their protégé lag behind in the build-up to the election, they have resorted to series of underhand tactics to get him out of the race, thus leaving the APC candidate as the major candidate in the election, owing to the festering crisis in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).”

Ilori alleged that there was an attempt to award a N10 billion contract without due process to a community and plough back N7 billion out of it into APC’s plan for the election, which he claimed the APC plots to rig.

“Also, they have tried several times to compromise the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ondo State without success, given the media altercations between the APC and INEC of recent,” he said.

Ilori added: “Next, they have surreptitiously instigated the Legal Adviser of the Alliance for Democracy, a man who is not a candidate in the Ondo State election, to institute a suit in the court. While we are not against this action since it is the fundamental right of anybody to resort to the court as an arbiter, but we have credible information from a meeting held by this  cabal last week in Abuja, where they boasted that they would ensure that the Judge who will sit on the matter would be compromised to give ex-exparte injunction against Chief Olusola Oke.

This in itself, he noted, “amounts to double speak” from top officials of a government noted for its uprightness.

“When you accuse judges as being corrupt and you did indeed  move against some of them, isn’t it an irony that members of the same government are the ones boasting of compromising a Judge that would sit on the matter in Court? Such, Your Excellency, is the desperation of this cabal who are hell-bent on tainting your administration’s reputation.

“But their best joker, which has been lent credence to by the popular boasts in town in the past few days by Akeredolu and his minders is the ploy to instigate the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to invite and possibly detain Chief Oke days before the election over phantom allegations. Chief Olusola Oke has been severally investigated and cleared by the anti-graft agency of any financial impropriety, but of recent, they have been putting a lot of pressure on the Commission to harass him of late with a view to making him look as if he is guilty, a development which is far from the truth.”

He wondered why this renewed onslaught against Oke now that the election is two weeks away, adding : “But we are abreast of their tricks, which will continue to fail. We want to express our absolute confidence that he has nothing to fear from any anti-graft agencies, having left office on a clean slate 12 years ago and having been cleared

severally too.

“We also want to quickly tell his traducers that Olusola Oke was a part-time member of the Niger Delta Development Commission and he was never involved in any untoward activities while in office. The allegations against him are mere tissues of lies that had been found to be so by the proper authorities

“We are aware of their evil plots to perpetrate perfidy in Ondo State during the election and the people of the state are watching them keenly. We want to appeal to Mr. President to please be aware of this grand plot to harass Chief Olusola Oke, distract him from meeting the people in his campaign tours and possibly to get him disqualified through unsavory means.

“The details of all the nocturnal meeting they have been holding, we are aware. It is not a new ploy and we are abreast of it. It happened few days to the APC primaries when this same Rotimi Akeredolu wrote a petition against him in which his tissues of lies were later exposed, all to get him disqualified, because he knows that he is but a mere babe in politics and cannot win the election.

“Now, they have started again, putting pressure on INEC, the security agents, resorting to compromising the Judiciary and lately to use the EFCC to restrain restrain and frustrate him, but by the grace of God, they will fail.

“But Chief Oke is not deterred. If they like, let them dare the will of God, the consequences await them. Our people in Ondo State are watching them keenly and in the fullness of time, they will get their rewards in full if they don’t desist

“We want to commend Mr. President for his zero tolerance to perfidy and we urge him to please save our souls in Ondo State from those who say the masses shall not be allowed to live and do their things in peace.

Fayemi, Fashola: it’s not true

Fayemi’s media aide Mr. Olayinka Oyebode described his boss as a decent politician who would not be dragged into an unnecessary controversy. He said: “The Minister of Solid Minerals is a busy man. He is a focused person doing the work given to him by the President diligently. It is during election period like this that people concoct lies to malign others. We have no reply for frivolities.”

Fashola’s Media Adviser Hakeem Bello said the allegation is laughable, saying that it did not make any sense. He said: “A reporter called me last week to ask for a similar reaction. Let’s look it this way. What is the allegation about? Does it make meaning to any reasonable person? The Minister has much work to do than to be involved in what these people are saying. His priority is to stay focused on the job.”

Rice'll Soon Sell At N5000, Dollar At N150, Fuel N30, Buhari's My Angel Sent To Rescue Nigeria; 'God' Says - Prophet Okeowo

Buhari
Prophet Ade Okeowo of Word of Liberty Evangelical Ministry, Ikorodu, Lagos State, has revealed that Nigeria will soon experience a turnaround as prices on commodities will crash in no time, stating that God did not, however, specify that the revelation would come to pass under President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime.

He specifically mentioned that God told him the cost of bag of rice and fuel, will be drastically reduced.

He made this revelation in a chat with Encomium, urging Nigerians to stop casting blames on President Buhari, as he needed time to fix the country.

He said, “That’s what God has revealed to me. Listen to me attentively; I am not speaking my words but God’s.

“Now, people buy rice N25, 000 per bag but God told me that we’re going to buy a bag of rice as cheap as N5, 000. A US dollar will exchange for as low as N150 and fuel will sell for as low as N30 or N40 per litre. That’s what God said will happen in this country.”

Asked if his prophecies will come to pass during Buhari’s administration, the cleric said, “God didn’t tell me that one but He revealed to me all of these and more beautiful things will happen after all the pain, but Buhari’s efforts will lead to that.

“Nigeria will be forced to a stage of break up but God will intervene.”

The Prophet further noted that Buhari is not to blame for the economic woes.

He said, “We should not blame anybody. People should not even hold Buhari responsible at all. From what God has revealed to me, He sent Buhari to Nigerians as an angel.

“God has also revealed to me that Buhari shouldn’t be worried, that everything will soon be alright. God showed me that Nigeria is like a second hand car (Tokunbo). We all know that if you buy a second hand car, it’s surely not in a perfect state. You will be fixing this today, that tomorrow until it’s fully fit. And it’s not something that will be done overnight.

“We all need to understand that if we want the country to move forward. Buhari is the one buying all the spare parts to repair the damaged car called Nigeria. By the time he completes the repair, the vehicle will move and everybody will enjoy it. That’s just the parable of Nigeria’s situation now.

“Everything will soon be alright. There are many Josephs that God is going to use to uplift this country, and Buhari is one of them.”

Recalling the other prophecies of his that have also come to pass in recent times, the Prophet said, “I predicted the Olympic soccer final. I said Germany would defeat Nigeria, it came to pass. I even said it’s going to be 2-0. I said the gold medal was for Brazil, they all came to pass.

“I predicted President Jonathan would lose the 2015 presidential election, a lot of people didn’t believe it. Even some prophets almost bet their lives on it that Buhari would lose, but it was revealed to me that Buhari would win and he won.

“Even, God revealed to me that no matter what other governorship candidates in Oyo do, Abiola Ajimobi will emerge victorious and it came to pass. I still have a message for him.”

The father of two concluded by saying “God told me to warn Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State to beware of the way he chose his commissioners so that they will not destroy his government.

“Also, Governor Amosun of Ogun State should be careful of some people in the state, because some of them are hell bent in destroying his government as well.”

Gov. Amosun Unleashes His Thugs On Us, We Were Beaten mercilessly - Ogun Striking Workers Allege

ibikule amosun
Striking Ogun State workers on Thursday alleged that thugs suspected to be loyal to Governor Ibikunle Amosun beat up public servants and labour union leaders as workers started their indefinite strike over unremitted cooperative union deductions and unfriendly labour practices.

It was gathered that some labour leaders and union members who had gathered at the secretariat of the state Nigeria Labour Congress around 8am on Thursday were attacked by the thugs.

One of those beaten, who pleaded anonymity, said, “The thugs came in a Toyota Camry and some others came on motorcycles; they descended on union leaders and some of us who had gathered at the secretariat, beating us blue, black.

“The thugs covered the number plate of the car, in order to shield the identity of the owner from being traced. This is sad.”

Another worker said, “They attacked our members at Laderin Estate, Kuto Roundabout and Oke Ilewo.”

The state NLC chairman, Akeem Ambali, who confirmed the attack on workers and labour leaders, said he had noticed some people trailing him since Monday after he addressed the press briefing where the strike was announced.

Ambali said two of the labour leaders and some members were attacked by the thugs, who the workers alleged were Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s loyalists.

He said, “This is the first time in the history of this state that workers will be attacked by the agents of the state. We have heard that some people have hired some thugs to attack us. But we thought it was all a rumour. But we were shocked this morning when some thugs came in a black Toyota Camry with number plate LND 555 BD to the place where the labour leaders were standing at Kuto roundabout.

“They attacked our members at Kuto, Oke Ilewo and Laderin Housing Estate.

“They beat up two labour leaders, Comrade Benco and Comrade Olayemi, among others.

“The NLC office has been sealed off by 30 armed men, but I have gathered that two cultists have been trailing me.

“My life is not safe and I have gone underground. My life is not safe with this government.”

But the Ogun State  governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2015 governorship election,  Gboyega Isiaka, and the state chapter of the Labour Party have  condemned the attack on labour leaders and protesting workers by suspected party thugs in Abeokuta.

Isiaka, who sympathised with the workers, warned  against politicising a normal trade dispute and urged  “the rampaging party thugs that thought they were helping the state government to exercise restraint.”

In a statement signed by the LP leaders, Abayomi Arabambi and Oginni Olaposi, they condemned the situation in which the workers were not allowed to exit the cooperative scheme while the deductions taken were not remitted.

Meanwhile, about 30 armed men of the Quick Response Squad and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps hurriedly took over the NLC state secretariat along Abiola Way, in the capital city.

Some security men also took over the two major entrances leading to the Governor’s office/secretariat to secure the complex.

But the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the police did not seal off the NLC secretariat but rather security men were dispatched there to maintain law and order.

In spite of the attack, the strike paralysed government activities, as workers stayed away from their duty posts.

When our correspondent visited Oke Mosan Governor’s Office secretariat where the civil servants’ offices are located around 8.30am, the place was deserted.

Public primary and secondary schools in the state were also shut while activities at the state high courts and magistrates were also paralysed. Patients at the state-owned  General Hospital, Ijaye, Abeokuta, have started moving out as many wards were deserted.

However, the state government has described the strike as illegal and threatened to invoke the  ‘no work no pay’ rule for those who stayed away from their duty posts.

The Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, while briefing journalists in his office on Thursday, said he was not aware that there was a strike.

Adeoluwa, who did not react to the allegation that workers’ cooperative deductions had not been remitted in the last 12 months or whether striking workers were being attacked, said the state government had not defaulted in its agreement with labour.

He said, “When they served us this notice, we were like what does these workers really want? It has been said in some quarters that it (the strike) is purely political. If there is a strike at all, it has no basis and no justification.

“All I will do now is to just appeal to the workers through you, I mean the little percentage who feel they have a case against the governmentý, that strike cannot be the solution and I want to challenge them to come out and state where we have defaulted from the agreement we had in March.”

Killer Fulani Herdsmen Are Boko Haram, Army Chief, Buratai Confirms News Punch's Exclusive Report

Killer Fulani Herdsmen Are Boko Haram, Army Chief, Buratai Confirms News Punch's Exclusive Report

Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai said Nigerian Army was investigating the likelihood of the notorious herdsmen having an  affiliation with the dreaded Boko Haram sect, thereby confirming News Punch's EXCLUSIVE Report titled; EXCLUSIVE: Deadly Fulani Herdsmen Are Dislodged Boko Haram Fighters - Investigation, published on the 5th of May 2016

News Punch had reported that an independent investigation by a freelance writer, Terfa Naswem suggests that the recent attacks believed to be carried out by some rampaging Fulani Herdsmen are actually done by the dislodged Boko Haram fighters from Borno, Adamawa and Yobe State,

Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, who was on a courtesy call on Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State yesterday, said the recent operation of the herdsmen across the country was suggestive of an affiliation with the Boko Haram insurgency, Nigerian Pilot says

Buratai, who advised Nigerians to be security conscious within their communities, assured that troops were working with police to ensure that the fleeing Boko Haram members were curtailed from further operation.

He said, “We want to call on all Nigerians to be security conscious and to report any suspicious persons or group of people that are roaming about in their communities. One may not be too far from the fact that some of these herdsmen that are attacking communities across the country may have some affiliation with the Boko Haram terrorists.

“This we are further investigating and also pursuing them so that we can address the situation. So let’s be security conscious; let’s report quickly movement of suspicious persons carrying arms, especially if you suspect any individual within your community, we should be able to report immediately.

“We have our troops deployed in certain areas and I believe the police are working with them to be able to tackle any challenge that comes in immediately.”

He added: “Some criminal elements now dress like Fulani herdsmen and go around the country committing crimes. In fact, they could be part of the Boko Haram elements that have fanned out and it seems like once they run out of supplies, what they do is to attack vulnerable communities around them, looting and killing.”

Buratai said that pocket of attacks might still continue for some time owing to the sneaking out of some of the members of the dreaded sect from the Sambisa forest, but assured that no community is under the control of the sect again.

“They didn’t capture any village. They went and attack a community, small community in Borno State and our troops responded appropriately, and we will continue to pursue them wherever they are.
“This situation may continue for some time; these are just pockets of them that sneaked out to go and commit such atrocities. Our troops are on top of the situation and we will continue to address such challenges.

“You know generally terrorism has no specific phase; they mix among the people anytime they want to strike; they sneak out and commit such atrocities. So I want to tell you that no community is under Boko Haram as at now. No local government or any ward that we can say is under any Boko Haram siege,” he said.

Governor Amosun commended the military for the recent return of one of the kidnapped Chibok girls while praying for the safe return of the ones still in captivity.

Amosun, Osoba can’t Save Ogun APC From Defeat in 2019 – Adebutu

Amosun, Osoba can’t Save Ogun APC From Defeat in 2019 – Adebutu

A House of Representatives member, Oladipupo Adebutu, has said the influence of both Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, and a former governor of the state, Chief Olusegun Osoba, would not save the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from defeat in the state in 2019.

Adebutu, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, declared that his party was committed to reclaiming the state from APC in the next general elections.

He spoke during the inauguration of his constituency office in Isara, Remo North Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking against the backdrop of the return of Osoba to APC, the lawmaker, representing Remo Federal Constituency, said the ongoing reconciliation within the ruling party in the state is not a threat to the opposition PDP.

According to him, the ruling party’s reconciliation would soon hit the rocks because its members are strange bedfellows.

Adebutu said: “The truth of the matter is that it is not the first time we are seeing that reconciliation and we must remember that party was born from day one with strange bedfellows.”

“And gradually from day one when Amosun was brought in to become the gubernatorial candidate of that party barely five years ago, it did not take long before he attempted to swallow the heads of all the leaders of the party in the arrangement.

“And I don’t think his rationale or thinking has changed and I don’t see why it should change. After all, he is not going for further election. I don’t think he should bash the head, he should just swallow the whole body.”
