Militants Negotiation With FG: We Didn't Nominate You - N'Delta Avengers Denies Wole Soyinka
The Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, have denied reports that they had nominated Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, to head their dialogue team with the Federal Government, describing same as the lie of the century.

NDA, in a statement, yesterday, by their spokesperson, Mudoch Agbinibo, while reiterating their support for the Chief Clark-led Niger Delta Elders and Stakeholders conference committee to lead the pan-Niger Delta negotiations/dialogue team, said that it was ready for talks whenever the Federal Government was ready.

Agbinibo said: “The NDA cannot be teleguided by Charles Okah and Henry Okah from their respective prison cells using disorganised characters of the APC from the Niger Delta to impress Abuja. “We are not unaware of the creations of the Nigerian intelligentsia community and security apparatus to sustain the Niger Delta struggle to bloat their pocket and credibility.

“We are amazed that Prof. Wole Soyinka has been taken on the jugular by enemies  of the Niger Delta because of  his belief that the government of the day should understand the need to restructure the country and listen to the Niger Delta agitation positively.

“That, we, the NDA, have named Prof Soyinka and some incredible names to advise and lead any group, is the lie of the century.  The handwriting is so clear that our nobel laureate’s name is going the infamous way, as he is being named as an adviser with some unscrupulous characters as  NDA dialogue team with the government of Nigeria.

“Putting the records straight, the name/names parading as factions of the Niger Delta Avengers are just the figments of the imaginations of some persons protecting their jobs and hell bent on derailing the wheel of progress in the history of Nigeria and the Niger Delta agitation.”

Buhari A Liar, We're Not In Dialogue With FG - N'Delta Avengers

Buhari A Liar, We're Not In Dialogue With FG - N'Delta Avengers

Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), has described as a deception, government’s claim of negotiating with the militants in the Niger Delta oil region.

President Muhammadu Buhari had on Thursday, while granting farewell audience to the outgoing Ambassador of Germany to Nigeria, Mr. Michael Zinner, at the Presidential Villa Abuja, claimed that his administration was holding talks with the militants for possible compromise.

But Avengers, which has been the deadliest group since resurgence of militancy in the oil region in a statement issued by the group’s spokesman, Mudoch Agbinibo refuted the claim, saying the group was not aware of any ongoing peace talks.

The statement read, “Our attention has been drawn to media report that the president is in touch with Niger Delta agitators including the Niger Delta Avengers, but the truth is that we are not aware of any peace talk.

“If there is any such peace talk, it means the president is talking to their mercenaries set to disturb the genuine struggle of the agitators. President Buhari-led government is not sincere to the Nigeria people and their foreign allies.

“If we are to engage in any peace talk we made it clear that the international community must be part of it. The President knows our demands. So they should stop deceiving the international oil companies, the general public and the international community”, the statement read.

Niger-Delta Avengers Give 12-Point Conditions For Ceasefire
The Union - The new militant group in the Niger Delta, the Niger Delta Avengers, has given 12 point demands to the federal government, insisting that if the federal government wants peace in the region and an end to the blowing of the oil installations, it should grant the demands without fail.

In a statement issued by its spokesperson Col. Mudoch Agbinibo, the group which claimed responsibility for the recent attack on the oil installations in the Niger Delta, said the decision is in the hands of the federal government to either fulfill their demands or risk the continuous destruction of oil installations and making Nigeria ungovernable for President Muhammadu Buhari.

Among the 12 demands is the immediate implementation of the 2014 confab report which it believed would help in restructuring Nigeria to the demand of all ethnic groups in the country.

It also said President Buhari, the DSS and Timipre Sylva should apologize to the people of the Niger Delta region and the family of DSP Alamieyeseigha for killing him with intimidation and harassment because of his party affiliation.

The group also said the ownership of oil blocks must reflect 60% for the oil producing people and 40% for the non-oil producing people of the region as the oil in the Niger Delta cannot be carted away to feed other parts of the nation which has no contribution in any way to the national treasury.

It said the Maritime University sited at Okerenkoko which the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has cancelled should be reversed with Amaechi apologizing to the people of the Niger Delta for the cancellation.

It further said the Ogoni land which the federal government under former President Olusegun Obasanjo destroyed and indeed all polluted Niger Delta lands must be cleaned up and compensation paid accordingly.

Also, the group said the demand for Biafra should be granted and the Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, be released unconditionally.

It called for the sustenance and proper funding of the amnesty programme, even as it said in line with President Buhari’s corruption fight, all APC members indicted for corruption or are adjudged to be corrupt should be tried and made to face the wrath of the law as the PDP members.

“We are using this medium to ask all Niger Deltans to take the war to all oil installations in their various communities because this is your war”.

The group said if the Buhari-led federal government refused to liberate the Niger Delta, what happened to Pharaoh and the Egyptians will happen to Nigeria. It says NDA has also devised plans to activate its elite unit the Niger Delta Airforce code strike team 1, as its plan B to cripple the country’s economy.

“Failing to heed to our demands, the Nigeria state is seeing what is happening to Chevron and Shell, the Nigerian elites will suffer in same vein. Know that Chevron and Shell is just the beginning If the International oil companies and federal government of Nigeria thinks the Niger Delta Avengers are criminal as they claim and fails to meet our demands”.

“To the Nigeria military we understand you doing your job but in the process of doing your job remember you have family back home waiting for your return. The questions you have to ask yourselves are; does the Nigeria state worth your life? Does the Nigeria state worth dying for?”
“Some of you are our brothers avoiding you is not sign of being lazy. If you dare harass our people we are going to face you. Especially, if you harass any community in search of Avengers”.

“We will come after you and its going to be bloody and merciless, we are the Niger Delta avengers, you (Nigeria Military) are not going to see us coming but we will get you” the group said.
