A 'Mad Man' Like Buhari Cannot Jail Me - Biafra's Nnamdi Kanu Roars In Court; Watch Video here
Incarcerated leader of the Indigeneous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has described President Muhammadu Buhari as a “mad man” who cannot jail him.

Kanu, who also doubles as the Director of Radio Biafra made the remark at an Abuja Federal High Court in Abuja during his trial on Tuesday.

The IPOB leader alongside Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi, are currently facing trial on an 11 count charge bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony and publication of defamatory matter.

Reacting to Justice Binta Nyako’s ruling which allowed witnesses to testify against him in private, the feasibly angry Kanu snapped back saying he would would not be jailed by a “mad man.”

According to Kanu, “Tell Buhari that he is a mad man, he cannot jail me.

“They are killing my people, IPOB, and he does not want me to talk, it can’t happen.

“There are laid down court proceedings but the government does not respect, they don’t obey court orders.

“Because Buhari appoint judges, he therefore intimidates them, tell him he cannot intimidate me, if others will have it I will not.

“In which country of the world does a President appoints his sister as a judge, he appointed Nyako from Katsina to jail me, tell him no body in his government is learned enough to jail me.”

Kanu had earlier caused a major stir in the courtroom when he rejected secret trial.

I'll Expose Secret Document That'll SINK Nigeria - Nnamdi Kanu Threatens

 Nnamdi Kanu
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and Director of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu has threatened that he would expose secrets that are capable of sinking Nigeria.

Kanu gave the threat at his resumed trial on Tuesday.  Recalled that it was rumoured that he (Nnamdi Kanu) has the original documents that saw to the amalgamation of Nigeria in 1914.

In the Tuesday’s ruling, trial Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja granted the Federal Government the nod to shield identities of witnesses billed to testify against Nnamdi Kanu.

Justice Nyako who held that names of all the prosecution witnesses who are mostly security operatives, would not be disclosed in any record of the court proceedings also said that the witnesses would be allowed to testify against the defendants behind a screen that would be provided by the court. Justice Nyako however stressed that both the defendants and their counsel would be allowed to see the witnesses who she said would enter and exit the courtroom through a special door.

However, Kanu immediately rejected the court ruling, insisting that it was against the tenets of Justice and fair hearing. “I won’t stand this travesty of Justice.

Buhari spoke in public, he accused me in public. I must also be allowed to stand my trial in public”, Kanu bellowed from the dock.

“This is nonsense! I will give testimony before this court! By the time I finish, there will be no Nigeria. This is no Sharia court. It is a court that operates under the common law.

“There will be no screening of witnesses, no fake identities or fake addresses. I cannot be tried in secret.

No! Nnamdi Kanu cannot be jailed in secret! They are mad. Tell Buhari That I said he's mad. Why must I be tried in secret by a government that does not obey court orders.

“They are killing my people in public, after killing my people they want to try me in private? That person is mad. I won’t allow it. “, Kanu fumed.

The IPOB leader is facing an 11-count charge alongside three other pro-Biafra agitators, Mr. Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi. Charges against the accused persons border on treasonable felony and their alleged involvement in acts of terrorism.

The defendants had earlier alleged plot by the Federal Government to import foreigners to testify against them.

DSS Arrested Me Because Of Tinubu, Dasuki, Malami, Kanu - Justice Ademola

One of the judges of the Federal High Court arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) last weekend, Adeniyi Ademola, has said he was being tried for granting bail to ex-NSA, Sambo Dasuki and ruling that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, be freed. In a letter dated October 11, addressed to Mahmoud Mohammed, Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Ademola said he was held for over 24 hours before he was told the reason why he was brought to the DSS office. “Upon signing the document, they told me that I am under arrest and ordered me with guns still pointed at me to move outside.

As I was going, they told me they were taking me to their office, Department of State Services (DSS) office, without showing any warrant of arrest. “I obeyed them and about six o’clock in the morning, I was whisked away from my residence to the DSS office without any warrant of arrest or reason for my arrest.

“From the time of my arrival at the DSS office, at about 6:45am on 8/10/2016, I was not told what my crime was for over 24 hours till the evening of 9/10/2016. “A DSS official finally informed me that my arrest were based on these three allegations: petition of Hon. Jenkins Duvie dated 4th of April 2016 to the National Judicial Council (NJC); granting bail to Col. Sambo Dasuki and the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu; and using my office to secure my wife’s appointment as the Head of Civil Service, through Senator Bola Tinubu,” the letter read.

Ademola said he saw his arrest as revenge from Abubakar Malami, Attorney- General of the Federation (AGF), whose arrest and detention he ordered over a professional misconduct while he was judge in Kano between 2004 and 2008.

“What is more intriguing in this whole episode, is that I see it as a vendetta/ revenge from the Hon. Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami; whilst I was in Kano between 2004 and 2007 as a Federal High Court judge, he was involved in a professional misconduct necessitating his arrest and detention by my order,” he said.

Justice Ademola said operatives later presented him with a list of items that were found in his home which could be used as exhibits, but he initially declined to sign the paper. “They threatened me that if I did not sign it they would not leave me alone and whatever they did to me at that point would be recorded that I will not be alive to tell the story of what transpired between me and them that night. “For fear and interest of my life, and unknown persons with masks on their faces, I collected the written items and signed the document,” the Justice said.

The judge said he has been putting up at a hotel in downtown Abuja and sought permission to proceed on leave during which he intended to pursue a remediation for alleged breach of his fundamental rights by the DSS. Special Assistant to the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Mr. Ahurakah Isah, confirmed to Sunday Telegraph last night that the office of the CJN received such a letter from the embattled justice of the Supreme Court.

‘I'll 'BOMB' Nigeria Completely Out Of Exixitence’ - Nnamdi Kanu Issues Fresh Threat
Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, the incarcerated leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) has threatened to destroy Nigeria completely not with explosives, but with truth.

A statement from Comrade Emma Powerful, IPOB spokesman, revealed that Kanu has decided to bomb Nigeria out of existence by dispensing stack truths about Nigeria to the whole world.

The statement stated that Nigeria is a contraption done by the former British colonialists which is no longer working, hence the quest of the Biafrans to opt out of the incompatible marriage – the 1914 Amalgamation.

The statement reads thus: “The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Prophet Nnamdi Kanu, did not say he will bomb Nigeria but to destroy the existence of Nigeria with truth before the eyes of everybody.

“Shout it from roof top, let the birds of heaven sing it, send out Biafran town-criers with horn speakers and please inform it to Nigerians, that Biafrans must go for good as the one set to cremate Nigeria has finally come to be reality.

“The Director of Radio Biafra and the humble servant of the blessed people of Biafra, Kanu has released a word that is sending shivers down the spines of the Nigerian Lords. The British trained revolutionary and political scientist of international repute, recently said that his hatred for Nigeria can only be described as pathological; borne out of the cruelty mankind has inflicted on his people through the contraption called Nigeria.

“Prophet Kanu, who was born in the thick of the genocidal war waged against his Biafran people, affirmed that the contraption referred to as Nigeria only exists today because the white Europeans said so, insisting that it was not created by God the natural way all nations on earth came into existence.”

BIAFRA: 3rd IPOB Group Springs Up, Sacks Sacks Nnamdi Kanu, Other Group
The crisis rocking the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, on Thursday, took a new twist with the emergence of a third faction claiming to be the authentic group representing the organization.

The new group, which parades itself as the Reformed Indigenous People of Biafra; RE-IPOB, disclosed that it has sacked the IPOB led by the detained Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu and the new faction; The Rebranded Indigenous People of Biafra, TRIPOB, which have Chima Philip Effiong Osuji, as its spokesman, stressing that both groups no longer have the right to speak for Biafra.

In a statement by its spokesman, Ikemba Biafra, the group who promised to disclose their leader on Monday 29th August, 2016, advised all pro-Biafran agitators to remain peaceful and warned security agents to stop molesting Biafran activists.

According to the statement, “Both IPOB and TRIPOB have been sacked; they should no longer speak for the Biafran people. They are the same outfit and have nothing to offer Biafra. We warn that if Nnamdi Kanu , IPOB and the so-called TRIPOB continue their antics , RE-IPOB will be forced to make public the sponsors of the two groups. RE-IPOB will not accede to the burning of the Biafran flag as the sacked TRIPOB planned. The Biafran flag is sacred to Biafrans.”

The statement, however, added that RE-IPOB is open to dialogue if the Nigerian government is sincere in ending the protracted agitations for an independent state of Biafra, and warned that the group will not tolerate any insincerity from the government.

BIAFRA: Nnamdi Kanu Ready To Negotiate With FG, Denies N'Delta Avengers, Mends
Lawyers to detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, say he is open to negotiations with the Federal Government.

The lawyers who, addressed a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, said such negotiations could only take place after he is released from incarceration where he had been for over a year.

According to them, it is impossible for just one individual to commit treasonable felony as Mr Kanu is accused by the Federal Government.
The lawyers, Mr Amobi Nzelu and Ifeanyi Ejiofor, made it clear that he was not part of the bargaining chip of neither the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) nor the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), who have both said he should be released, as part of their own negotiations with the federal government.

“Mend has no implied, direct or express authority of Nnamdi Kanu to represent him or IPOB in any purported negotiation going on between mend and the federal government,” the lawyers stated.

The self-acclaimed leader of the IPOB and two others are standing trial before a Federal High Court in Abuja on a six-count charge of treasonable felony, managing unlawful society and concealing goods.

At the last hearing, the lead prosecution counsel was absent in court, and the case was adjourned to September 26 – 29, 2016.

Cardinal Onaiyeka Disclaims Interview Disparaging President Buhari, See Raw Copy Letter

News Punch has obtained a letter credited to the renown Catholic Archi-bishop of Abuja, His eminence Cardinal John Onaiyeka disclaiming a purported interview where he allegedly lambasted and disparaged President Muhammadu Buhari

In the purported interview, the Cleric was quoted to have said, among other things, that “there is no sign that Nigeria has a president”. The interview further quoted the Cardinal as recalling that President Buhari “has a long history of a dictator and never obeys court orders. He has not changed himself but wish to change Nigeria. Three times he has disobeyed court orders in less than a year in office”.

Cardinal Onaiyekan was also purported to have described the president as an oppressor, who has undermined the Nigerian constitution and that he should tender an unreserved apology to the nation for the embarrassment of his leadership, for the deaths of unarmed civilians, who were brutally killed by overzealous security agents, and for the embarrassment he has caused leader of the Independent People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu and his pregnant wife.

In his reaction, the Cardinal, via a statement on Friday signed by his Personal Secretary, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ojeifo, dissociated himself from the said interview.

The statement dated 22nd April 2016 specifically mentioned Naij.com and theheraldng.com as online news media who published the fictitious interview. He appealed to the owners of the websites to often carefully verify their facts before publishing.

He, therefore, urged  the public to disregard the publications

Secret Plot To KIDNAP Biafran 'Lord', Nnamdi Kanu In Court Today EXPOSED

Secret Plot To KIDNAP Biafran 'Lord', Nnamdi Kanu In Court Today EXPOSED

The Department of State Service, DSS, on Monday, told a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, that it has uncovered plot by some pro-Biafra agitators, to invade the court and forcefully free the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu.

The security agency made the allegation on a day the federal government was to open its case against Kanu who is facing a six-count treason charge alongside two other pro-Biafra supporters, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi.

The Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, Mr. Mohammed Diri, told trial Justice John Tsoho that the DSS has already commenced investigation on the planned invasion.

Meantime, following the inability of the federal government to produce any of the eight witnesses scheduled to testify before the court, the defendants, through their lawyer, Chief Chuks Muoma, SAN, applied to be discharged and acquitted of the charge against them. They predicated their application on the provision of section 351(1) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.

Earlier, the DPP informed the court that the witnesses said they would not appear to testify against the defendants unless the are allowed to wear masks or their identities shielded from both lawyers and people observing the proceeding. ‘My lord this is because they are already receiving threats from associates of the defendants that they will be dealt with.

The witnesses said they love their lives and requested that their identities be shielded from people who are coming to witness the proceeding’, Diri added. He said DSS operatives also billed to testify in the matter, made similar request on the basis that they are investigating terrorism cases and would not want their identities exposed. Justice Tsoho had on February 19, refused an application by the federal government which sought leave to mask the witnesses.

The application was vehemently opposed by counsel to the defendants who urged the court not to allow ‘masquerades’ to testify before it. Meanwhile, the parties are still exchanging arguments on the application for the charge to be quashed and the defendants discharged and acquitted. ‎Kanu who was hitherto the Director of Radio Biafra and Television, ‎has been in detention since October 14, 2015, when he was arrested by security operatives upon his arrival to Nigeria from his base in the United Kingdom.

The defendants were alleged to have committed treasonable felony, an offence punishable under Section 41(C) of the Criminal Code Act, CAP C38 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria. FG alleged that they were the ones managing the affairs of the IPOB which it described as ‘an unlawful society’.

Specifically, Kanu was alleged to have illegally smuggled radio transmitters into Nigeria, which he used to disseminate “hate broadcasts”, encouraging the “secession of the Republic ofBiafra”, from Nigeria.

The accused persons however pleaded not guilty to the charge on January 20, even as the court ordered their remand at Kuje prison ‎in Abuja.‎‎
