Obi's Emergence As APC ZOS, A Blessing
Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Cross River State have hailed the emergence of Mr. Paul Obi as the Zonal Organising Secretary of the party in the south south zone.

Mr. Obi was duly elected at a mini congress at the Northern Senatorial District of Cross River State last Wednesday after beating his two rivals with a wide margin.

He is to be inaugurated at the next Zonal Executive Committee Meeting of the party.

Some stakeholders who spoke on Obi's emergence expressed confidence in the ability of the new ZOS to deliver on his responsibility.

Chapter Chairman of Obanlikwu Local Government chapter of APC,Christopher Apashitie said "Obi's victory is one of the best things to happen to the Zonal body of the party. This is because he has a rich pedigree of  competence in service delivery".

Mr. Apashitie further said the youth would especially benefit from Obi's love and concern for their welfare and progress, "having been a philanthropist in all his life".

On his part, Chairman of Bekwarra chapter of the party, Oko Godwin Okplenye said Mr. Obi exudes the charisma that fits the responsibilities of the office of Organising Secretary "going by his doggedness and determination to succeed in every endeavor of his".

Mr. Okplenye described  Obi as visionary and has therefore a prepared  mindset that is geared towards success.

The chapter chairmen had also urged Obi's rivals in the Congress to accept his emergence as the will of God and prepare to work with him in the spirit of unity and success.

Meanwhile, Mr. Obi has felicitated Christians within the zone as they celebrate the birth of Christ on Christmas day.

He urged them to reflect on the period as a time of love adding they should step up their love and tolerance  for one another especially those who are of other religious groups.
