THE UNTOLD: How Nigeria's DSS Foiled Major US Terrorist Attack On United States
In a major security feat, the Nigeria Secret Police, The Department of States Security has reportedly foiled a major terrorist attack on the Unites States of America, thereby arresting a renown world's wanted terrorist.

A top intelligence officer at the presidency has told Thisday Newspaper that the Department of State Services (DSS) some weeks ago busted a terrorist planned attack to be carried out in the United States.

The officer was quoted as saying: “When it comes to intelligence gathering, the DSS is well-respected in the international community.

“Hardly a day passes by without at least seven countries asking from us one favour or the other. When it comes to intelligence gathering, the agency is well-respected.’’

The officer continued: “A few weeks ago, the agency busted a terrorist planned attack that was to be executed in the US, and the security agency received huge commendation from the US authority.

“It also arrested one of the most wanted terrorists in the world, and he is currently in Nigeria’s custody; he was responsible for many killings and bombings in 2012 and 2013 in Nigeria.’’

The security officer went on to say in the last few years, there is no security operations that takes place in the country without intelligence report from the DSS.

Defending some of the actions of the DSS especially as it concerns arrest and detention of suspected terrorists which had received hard criticisms from the media and the civil society groups, the officer said the act of terrorism has global standards.

His words: “Look at the incident that recently happened in Berlin, Germany, where a suspected terrorist rammed a truck into Christmas market; all those linked with the incident were arrested, while one or two of them were killed in different countries.

“But if the incident had happened in Nigeria, some human rights lawyers would have filed different suits in court, challenging the fundamental human rights of the suspects.

“Nigerian security agencies can afford to do the same thing in Nigeria because they have the same training with their colleagues in other countries. But by virtual of their religious belief, they are not in a hurry to take life. The patriotism they have always displayed is uncommon.”

He said after the 911 terrorist attack in the US, there was an agreement in the global community that terrorists should be killed notwithstanding the kind of weapons they are carrying.

Protesters Storm Justice Ministry, Demand El-Zakzaky's Prosecution For Terrorism

Protesters Storm Justice Ministry, Demand El-Zakzaky's Prosecution For Terrorism

El- zakzaky‎: Severe Diplomatic Relationship With Iran, CSO Tells FG

Ibrahim, El-zakzaky
The federal government has been called upon to severe diplomatic relationship with the Republic of Iran over the role played by the country during the attack on Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Buratai by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria led by Ibrahim, El-zakzaky.

The protesters also want El-Zakzaky prosecuted for terrorism

A civil society organisation, Sovereign Rights Coalition (SRC) who led a peaceful protest from the Federal Ministry of foreign affairs to the justice ministry today abuja called for the prosecution of el-zakzaky and other members of IMN involved in December 2015 attack on the convoy of General Buratai in Zaria, Kaduna state.

‎Coordinator of the group, Comrade Daniel Obaje described as blackmail comments by human rights group and western media on developments in the country as it's concern security.

Obaje said, "It is pertinent for the immediate arraignment and prosecution of the leader of the sect on terror charges as deemed appropriate.

"We have also discovered that the relationship between our country and the Republic of Iran has become cancerous and will only be beneficial if such detrimental tie is severed to prevent further damage.

"It also chief amongst our demand that apart from ceasing all diplomatic relationships with the Iranian republic, a total removal of her embassy from Nigerian soil is pertinent and apt.

"All blackmails by bodies including human right groups as well as western media come to an end as it amounts to an affront on the sovereignty of Nigeria

SRC further said, "It is not news that the group, Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) led by its leader Mr. Ibraheem El Zakzakky had launched an attack on the Chief of Army Staff and his convoy in Kaduna where in the course of the operation where he was arrested and a cache of arms was recovered.

"It has been nearly a year since this unfortunate event and these debauchers have continued to exhibit this impermissible crass negligence of the nation’s sovereignty in their hooded attempts to annex the nation to form their own republic.

These extremists have so far been allowed to further distabilise the nation and its integrity via sponsored protests and media campaign accompanied with blackmail using international organisations and media.

A director in the federal ministry of Justice, Princess Okorie who received the protesters on behalf of the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami appreciated their efforts and promised to channel all their grievances to the appropriate quarters
