Rumpus In Presidency As Osinbajo Incur Buhari's Wrath Over Sack Of Northern NEMA Boss, Staffs Recommendation
News Proof 13.11.16 No comments Edit Post
PointBlankNews - A cold war is brewing between President Mohammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo over Sani Sidi, the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA and others, Presidential Sources confirmed to Pointblanknews.com.
Trouble started when VP Osinbajo recommended the sacking of over 50 heads of parastatals and agencies appointed by former President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to sources, the VP who supervises most of the Agencies and Parastatals, had included the NEMA boss and others said to be predominantly from the North for sacking.
Unknown to Osinbajo, Sidi, an appointee of former President Jonathan, had warmed his way into the heart of President Buhari who sees him as a thoroughbred professional especially with the role played by NEMA during his Boko Haram attack on July 2014.
Sources told Pointblanknews.com that once the recommendation for the sacking of the NEMA boss and others got to Buhari, the President insisted that Sidi and few others be left to serve under his Government.
A source in the Presidency who prefers anonymity told Pointblanknews.com that Buhari particularly extoled the qualities of the NEMA boss, wondering why he and few others who had served the last Government should be removed.
Irked by the President’s decision, the VP who was bent on removing all heads of parastatals and agencies to pave the way for All Progressive Congress, APC members who were already grumbling for being left behind after the election, devised other means to frustrate leaders of parastatals under him.
Investigations confirmed that Osinbajo on several occasions refused to grant approvals to heads of agencies under him including NEMA.
“He doesn’t want to meet with them, they have been coming here crying for help, he has not treated their files sent to him from heads of agencies he had recommended for removal, including that of NEMA which has been handling critical matters especially Boko Haram attacks and other emergencies in the country,” the source in the Presidency told Pointblanknews.com.
Following complaints lodged by some of heads of agencies and parastatals, the President is said to be unhappy with the Vice President and has directed top aides to work out modalities for dealing with those affected agencies.
Sources told Pointblanknews.com that the office of the Chief of Staff to the President is now charged with treating files from NEMA and other critical agencies.
Buhari had in February approved the immediate disengagement of 26 out of over 100 heads of federal parastatals, agencies and commissions. Their disengagement was announced in a statement issued by Babachir David Lawal, Secretary to the Federal Government.

The Federal Government has called for more support from Nigerians for the efforts aimed at recovering stolen funds from persons that looted the nation’s treasury.
The call was made by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, while addressing participants at a 2-day National Conference jointly organised by the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption, PACAC and the National Assembly.
The programme with the theme, “The Role of the Legislature in the Fight against Corruption in Nigeria” offers a platform for participants to brainstorm on how to tackle corruption in the country.
Declaring the conference open, Osinbajo lamented the state of corruption in Nigeria adding that, “Nigeria stands the risk of perpetually remaining under-developed if nothing is done to stem the tide of corruption.”
He appealed to Nigerians to team up with the Federal Government in its effort to rid the nation of corruption persons.
In his keynote address, a former Director of the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission, Patrick Lumumba, recommended severe sanctions to deter corrupt persons.
The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Professor Itse Sagay, berated the legislature for its failure to fight corruption just as the Chairman Senate Committee on Anti-corruption and Financial Crimes, Chukwuka Utazi enjoined the stakeholders to aggregate towards institutionalizing preventive mechanisms.
He added that, "however, we recognize that prevention is no substitute for sanctions. Every society must deter derelictions. That is why the current focus on investigation, indictment, prosecution and conviction should continue in view of the realities of the Nigerian nation".
Ibrahim Magu, acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, who spoke through David Tukura, Deputy Director, Directorate of Planning, Policy and Statistics, emphasized the need to review certain laws in line with international best practices.
The EFCC boss also advocated for a percentage of assets recovered by the EFCC to be given to the Commission saying, "one of the issues that concern us in the EFCC is the issue of non conviction based recovery. It is of great concern to us, that the burden is on us to prove in court that, this is a proceed of crime, while in other climes the accused has to prove that the property he has, actually represents the fruit of his labour. There is the need for the Act to make a provision for an application of the proceeds of crime into recapitalizing the anti graft agencies.”
According to him, “in some jurisdictions like the UK proceeds of crime are further used to strengthen the agency. In EFCC, we have been struggling for years to build our Headquarters and when I think of the billions of naira we recover, I can see what would have happened if we are allowed to apply a percentage of this recovery into our operations.”
The two-day conference which ends tomorrow, will among other subjects examine the role of the legislature as the champion of anti-corruption reforms, reform of the anti-corruption legal framework and compliance with international standards.

Presidential Spokesman Garba Shehu, in a statement, said: “The release of the girls, in a limited number is the outcome of negotiations between the administration and the the Boko Haram brokered by the International Red Cross and the Swiss government. The negotiations will continue.
“The President welcomes the release of the girls but cautioned Nigerians to be mindful of the fact that more than 30,000 fellow citizens were killed via terrorism.
Explaining how they were released, Alhaji Mohammed said: “We can confirm that 21 of the girls were released, safely, to us by 5.30 this Thursday morning and they were flown to Kaduna from the location of their release. This is the most glaring manifestation to date of the unwavering commitment of Mr. President to secure the safe release of the girls and reunite them with their families.
“It is also a result of the round-the-clock efforts by the Administration to put a closure to the sad issue of the kidnap of the girls.”
Mohammed gave insights into how the girls were released.
He added: “Gentlemen, as we have always said, we have been working on the safe release of the girls and following all the leads available. In this instance, the moment we had a credible lead, Mr President gave the green-light to the DSS to pursue it.

“We can confirm that the DSS pursued the lead in collaboration with a friendly European country and a renowned international humanitarian organization. The DSS was supported by the military.
“As soon as the necessary confidence was built on both sides, the parties agreed on the date and the location of the release of the 21 girls. Please note that this is not a swap. It is a release, the product of painstaking negotiations and trust on both sides.
“We see this as a credible first step in the eventual release of all the Chibok Girls in captivity. It is also a major step in confidence-building between us as a government and the Boko Haram leadership on the issue of the Chibok Girls.
“We want to thank all Nigerians for their support and for never losing confidence in the ability of Mr. President to secure the safe release of our Chibok Girls.”
The minister said the release of the girls could mean a new phase to the conduct of the war against terrorism
He added: “Whatever it will take to get Boko Haram insurgency under control, we will do it through military operation, peace talk, dialogue and whatever. I think all in all, when you are fighting insurgency, it is a combination of carrot and stick. The Federal Government will continue to adopt carrot and stick approach.
“The release of 21 out of the Chibok girls does not mean the end of military operation it could mean a new phase to the conduct of the war against terrorism.
“These negotiations are very delicate bearing in mind that we still have more girls in captivity we must not do anything to jeopardize their release.
“President Muhammadu Buhari has made it clear that what it will take to get the girls in captivity from the Boko Haram insurgents we will do it.
“We have always been looking for leads. This time around, we were able to have a credible lead.”
On the insinuations that some members of Boko Haram were swapped to secure the release of the girls, the minister responded: “That is not true.”
“If you listen, I said this particular release is significant because it is a first step in what we believe will lead to the eventual release of all our girls in custody.
“And it is significant also because we have been able to establish ever than before a kind of confidence in the core leadership of Boko Haram and Nigerians. And I am not aware of any monetary transactions.
“This is not a swap. This was a release effected because over time we succeeded in confidence building. This is unique because we also used friendly approach and friendly organization and friendly countries. I repeat this is not a swap.”
He expressed confidence that the government will work towards the release of other girls in Boko Haram custody.
“This particular release is significant because it is just a first step in what we believe will eventually lead to release of other girls in custody.
“The Federal Government will not relent until the whole girls gain total freedom,” he said
TOP SECRET: How Buhari Torturing VP Osinbajo, Relegated Him To Mere 'Flat Tyre' For Refusing To Betray Tinubu
News Proof 26.9.16 No comments Edit Post
A former minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has claimed that under the Muhammadu Buhari presidency, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has been relegated to not just a spare tyre but “a very flat one”, adding that this is so because the senior advocate has refused to dump his political benefactor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He stated this in an article published on Monday entitled; “Bola Ahmed Tinubu and those who want him dead” while itemising six shots that have been fired at the former Lagos governor by a small cabal of power-brokers which, according to him, is peopled by: President Muhammadu Buhari, his nephew: Mamman Daura, Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari and the Kaduna state Governor, Nasir El Rufai.
The former minister’s claim seems to fly in the face of President Buhari’s assertion during an interview where he was categorical that “The vice president heads our economic management team.”
Fani-Kayode however wrote that Osinbajo is “constantly being directed to represent the President at official functions all over the country as if he were more his Personal Assistant, Special Advisor or Minister rather than the Vice President of the country.”
His words, “The fifth shot is the thorough and systematic, though subtle and covert, humiliation and relegation of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, a close associate and political protegee of Tinubu and a spiritual son of the reverred Pastor Enoch Adeboye of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), to not just a spare tyre as Vice President but also to a very flat one.
“Rather than being allowed to participate in the crucial decision-making processes on vital and critical issues of state and governance as any Vice President should, Osinbajo has been kept in the dark about virtually everything and he has little or no power to effect anything.
“When such decions [sic] are to be debated, discussed and made the Vice President is never invited into the room and neither is he even aware that there is such a meeting going on.”
THE UNTOLD: How US Intelligence Report Forced Buhari Abort Niger Delta Trip, The Assassination Threat Confirmed
News Proof 11.6.16 No comments Edit Post
Fresh revelation according to report gathered from a top-placed security source in the presidency suggests that President Buhari’s aborted trip to Ogoniland was as a result of the intervention of the US government intelligence report, News Punch has learned.
The US intelligence report had advised the president not to embark on the Ogoni trip, as such trip would have been bloody, New Telegraph reports
Though the militants had threatened to carry out their “threat to assassinate the president, if he had embarked on the trip,” Saturday Telegraph gathered that the reports from the U.S, which advised him against the proposed visit to Ogoniland, actually aborted the trip.
The NDA had threatened to attack Buhari, who was to flag off the cleaning of Ogoniland but changed his plans at the last minute by sending his deputy, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, to represent him at the event. When queried on the supposed superiority of the militants’ weapons to that of the president’s security apparatus, the source said, though Buhari might have escaped unhurt, there would still have been many casualties due to the exchange of firepower. “It was actually the US government that said we should not go there and we later realized that it was a good advice.
They made us to understand that from their intelligence report, those guys were going to act as planned. Even the DSS agreed with them that we should not go. When the matter was tabled, and we were confronted with evidences, we all realised that those guys were not joking at all. “It is not that they will over power the presidential guard, no, far from it, the security of any president is not a child’s play. It is just that those militants would have wanted to make a point and there would have been serious casualties.
When our correspondent probed further on the veracity of the claim, and sought to know how the intelligence report was relayed to Buhari, he simply said there were normal channels of communication between both countries. “There are ways the two countries share intelligence reports. The security people frequently exchange such reports and there is a way they go about it.
On our side, we know when they are telling the truth, this is one of such times. “You know there are times we don’t take them serious but when you see facts that are incontrovertible, it is better to heed than regret later,” he said.
Avengers give conditions for ceasefire Giving the Federal Government a condition to cease hostilities, the militants wrote: “we are calling on the international community, to come and support the restoration of our right to peaceful self-determination from this tragedy of 1914 that has expired since 2014."
“We want our resources back to restore the essence of human life in our region for generations to come because Nigeria has failed to do that. The world should not wait until we go the Sudan ways. Enough is enough.”
President Buhari's one year in office has been described as a colossal waste by Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Peter Ayodele Fayose.
Fayose described the increment in the pump price of petrol as one of the gifts of President Mohammadu Buhari to Nigerians to celebrate his one year in office.
In a statement titled; “Petrol Price Increment as Buhari’s 1st Year Anniversary Gift to Nigerians” which he personally signed, the governor said the Federal Government was indirectly collecting N58.50 naira tax from suffering Nigerians on each litre of petrol they buy.”
The statement read; “Despite his electoral promise to reduce petrol pump price from the N87 per litre that he met it, President Mohammad Buhari increased the price to N145! With this increment, Buhari has further impoverished Nigerians.
“Nigerians should be reminded that on April 14, 2015, President Buhari’s ally and former Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Prof. Tam David-West, told Nigerians that Gen. Mohammed Buhari (who was then President-elect), will reduce the fuel pump price from N87 to N40 per litre. Buhari did not debunk this statement made by his friend and major supporter.
“Also, when the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government of Dr Goodluck Jonathan reduced the petrol pump price from N97 to N87 per litre in January 2015, former Lagos State Governor who is now Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola said N10 reduction of the petrol pump price was too low and that Nigerians will get a better deal under Buhari. Fashola tweeted on January 18, 2015; ‘On PMS price reduction by N10. Now they listen. Oil the raw material drop over 50%, N10 is just about 10%. Good try but Nija can get a beta deal.’
“In rewarding Nigerians for electing him as president, President Buhari opted to increase petrol pump price by N58.50!
“The first justification of the increment was removal of subsidy. But Nigerians were later stunned when the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo said pump price of petrol was increased because Nigeria wasbroke!
“In other words, President Buhari increased petrol pump price because the country was broke and it needed to shore up its revenue base. The N58.50 added to the previous pump price of N86.50 was an Indirect Tax imposed on each litre of petrol purchased by Nigerians.
“Simply put, the Federal Government is indirectly collecting N58.50 naira tax from suffering Nigerians on each litre of petrol they buy. Buhari is no doubt acting like the proverbial Agbalowomeri Baale Jontolo (Aking that exploit his extremely poor subject to further enrich himself).
“It is on record that on May 2 this year, the federal government, in the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) Template released in Abuja, told Nigerians that it was subsidising petrol at N12.62 per litre.
READ ALSO 20 Nigerian pilgrims die in Makkah “In 2012 when the Dr Jonathan removed fuel subsidy and increased petrol price to N141 per litre, crude oil was selling at $111 per barrel.
“If not wickedness, how can petrol price be increased to N145 per litre when crude oil is now selling at $49 per barrel?
“Increasing petrol pump price by N58.50 when the federal government claimed it was subsidising the product at N12.62 per litre is clear wickedness on the part of President Buhari.
“In the history of Nigeria, increase in price of petrol has never been as high as it was done by Buhari, putting Nigerians in severe hardship as the product affects every sector of the economy.
“Too bad, those who opposed removal of fuel subsidy in 2012 and funded the Occupy Nigeria protest are the ones canvassing support for this Buhari’s wicked one year anniversary gift to Nigerians.
“The labour unions are now completely cowed, dashing completely hope of the common people of Nigeria.
“Interestingly, this is not the first election promise by APC/Buhari that have been jettisoned since they got into office. The N5,000 unemployment benefits promised the downtrodden was derisively put down by this President as “largesse” with the president spurning the emotional plea of his own wife to the contrary. To add salt and insult unto injury, he traveled abroad to make the statement.
“Despite the mindless and indefensible hike in fuel price, the commodity is still not available. Minister of state for Petroleum says there is no forex to pay for fuel import; yet there is forex indulge Buhari’s foreign-trip profligacy.
“Presidential spin doctors and APC chieftains labouring to hoodwink the people speak glibly of how so-called deregulation will make products available, reduce cost through competition and the interplay of market forces as well as encourage private sector to build more refineries. But thank God who loves Nigerians so much, the lies of these people was by divine arrangement, I suppose, revealed by no less a person than the junior minister Ibe Kachikwu himself when he said importation of fuel continues till 2019.
“Nigerians should be reminded that the manner of hardship being faced now was also faced during Buhari’s first coming as a military dictator when people had to queue for essential commodities. Now, Nigerians can’t even afford common tomato to prepare soup.
“So Nigerians you have heard the truth: Under Buhari/APC, it is almost certain that our suffering will continue till 2019.
“Nigerians, remember I warned you before Buhari was elected; I have been warning you since Buhari became president and I am warning now that if nothing is done urgently, the economy of Nigeria will collapse.”
