Africans Are From "SHITHOLE COUNTRIES", Has No Business Coming To US - Trump Spits Fresh Racist Comment

Trump Calls African Shithole Countries
US president Donald Trump on Thursday used a racially charged insult for immigrants from Haiti and Africa, decrying them as from “shithole countries” amid mounting speculation about an impending deal on the vexatious issue of immigration.

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump is reported to have said, according to the Washington Post that first reported the matter.

Trump was referring to African countries and Haiti and went on to suggest the United States should welcome more people from countries like Norway.

Norway, a predominantly white country that is also the world’s third richest and is itself major draw for immigrants from around the world, might have been on the US president’s mind having received its prime minister on Wednesday, with whom he had also addressed a joint news conference.

Trump’s remarks came during discussions about a legislation granting citizenship to undocumented people brought to the United States as children — an estimated 700,000 people, of whom 8,000 are from India — who face deportation after Trump ended an Obama-era regulation protecting them.

Trump has agreed to consider legitimising their stay demanding in return enhanced border security, which includes his promised wall along the border with Mexico, an end to visa-lottery and replacing chain migration of family and relatives by a merit-based system such as that used in Canada and Australia.

Senators Lindsey Graham, a Republican, and Richard Durbin, a Democrat, were discussing their proposal on the status of these undocumented children — covered by Deferred Actions for Childhood Arrivals — and which also included a plan to use visas saved from ending the lottery for those already here.

Trump was dismayed and got angry when he heard these people could include immigrants from Haiti, and then he wanted to know why should the United States admit people from Africa, which is a major source of immigrants for the diversity visa lottery, which he has opposed for long.

The lawmakers present in the room were aghast. And outrage piled up outside soon enough.

“President Trump may speak as President of the United States, but he doesn’t speak presidentially or for the United States,” Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthy, a Democrat, wrote on Twitter.

Bill Kristol, a conservative NeverTrumper, wrote on Twitter, “Oprah would not, in an Oval Office meeting with senators, use the term ‘shithole counties (countries)’. Oprah also would not to go to Davos.”

He has been urging talk-show host Oprah Winfrey to run, since her speech at the Golden Globes.

The White House rushed to contain the outrage with a statement just minutes after the outburst during a meeting with the lawmakers leaked. But it was not a denial nor did it address the issue of the phrase used by the president to describe, it only reiterated Trump’s position on the issue.

“Certain Washington politicians choose to fight for foreign countries, but President Trump will always fight for the American people,” deputy press secretary Raj Shah said as angry reactions poured.

“Like other nations that have merit-based immigration, President Trump is fighting for permanent solutions that make our country stronger by welcoming those who can contribute to our society, grow our economy and assimilate into our great nation.”

‘My Red Button Is Bigger Than Yours’ Trump Issues Deadlier Threat To North Korea Leader, Kim Jong-Un

Trump and Kim Jong-Un
Donald Trump has warned Kim Jong-un that his ‘Nuclear Button’ is ‘much bigger & more powerful’ than the North Korean leader’s.

The US President tweeted in response to Mr Kim’s declaration earlier this week that he has a button for nuclear weapons on his table and the entire US mainland is now within strike range.

Mr Trump asked if someone from Mr Kim’s ‘depleted and food starved regime’ can ‘please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!’

He said: ‘Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!’

The president does not actually have a nuclear button on his desk. Known as the nuclear ‘football’, it is carried by a rotating group of military officers everywhere the president goes.

Yesterday Pakistan hit back over Trump’s tweets describing his New Year’s Day message as being ‘completely incomprehensible’.

The government summoned the US ambassador to complain but stopped short of demands by protesting Islamic groups to expel the envoy. The latest round of tit-for-tat attacks between the two countries was ignited by Mr Trump’s tweet on Monday. 44

He said the US had ‘foolishly’ given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars (£24 billion) in aid in the last 15 years and had received nothing in return but ‘lies & deceit’.

He also reiterated longstanding allegations that Pakistan gives ‘safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan’.

A statement issued after a National Security Committee meeting, which was attended by Pakistan’s prime minister and the powerful army chief of staff, said the US was making Pakistan a scapegoat for its own failure to bring peace to Afghanistan after 16 years of war.

JERUSALEM: United Nation Votes 128 Against 9 To Oppose US Decision

JERUSALEM: United Nation Votes 128 Against 9 To Oppose US Decision
The UN General Assembly on Thursday adopted by a decisive vote of 128 to nine, with 35 abstentions, a motion rejecting the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

President Donald Trump had warned ahead of the vote in the 193-nation assembly that “we’re watching” and threatened reprisals against countries backing the measure, which reaffirms that the status of Jerusalem must be resolved through negotiations.

Seven countries — Guatemala, Honduras, Togo, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau and the Marshall Islands — joined Israel and the United States in opposing the measure.

Among the 35 countries that abstained were Argentina, Australia, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Mexico, the Philippines, Romania and Rwanda.

Ukraine, which supported the draft resolution at the Security Council, was among 21 countries that did not turn up for the vote.

The measure was sent to the General Assembly after it was vetoed by the United States at the Security Council on Monday, although all other 14 council members voted in favor.

“The United States will remember this day,” US Ambassador Nikki Haley told the assembly.

“America will put our embassy in Jerusalem,” Haley said. “No vote in the United Nations will make any difference on that.

“But this vote will make a difference on how Americans look at the UN and on how we look at countries who disrespect us in the UN,” she said.

“When we make generous contributions to the UN we also have a legitimate expectation that our goodwill is recognized and respected.”

While resolutions by the General Assembly are non-binding, a strong vote in support carries political weight.

Israel seized the largely-Arab eastern sector of Jerusalem during the 1967 Six-Day War and later annexed it, claiming both sides of the city as its “eternal and undivided capital.”

But the Palestinians want the eastern sector as the capital of their future state and fiercely oppose any Israeli attempt to extend sovereignty there.

Several UN resolutions call on Israel to withdraw from territory seized in 1967 and the resolution contains the same language as past motions adopted by the assembly.

Pope Francis In Injured In Minor Accident

Pope Francis had his eye bandaged and blackened after an accident in the popemobile, wrapped up his trip to Colombia on Sunday appealing to the country to “untie the knots of violence” after a 50-year civil war.

His last day in the country got off to a rocky start when he lost his balance and bumped his head while riding in the popemobile. He bruised his cheekbone and cut his left eyebrow, blood staining his white cassock.

The Vatican said he received ice treatment and was fine. A smiling pope continued the trip wearing a bandage over his cut. “I was punched. I’m fine,” he joked afterward, the bruises on his face clearly visible.

At the end of the day, when he said mass for hundreds of thousands of people in the city’s port area, the bruise had swollen and he had blackened skin under his eye.

US Senator, John McCain Diagnosed With Brain Cancer; Clinton, Hillary, Biden Sympathize

By Dansu Peter

John McCain
Three former United State of America leaders have spoken on Sen. John McCain, 80, who has just been diagnosed with a primary glioblastoma, a type of brain tumor.

McCain brain tumor diagnosis was confirmed by Mayo Clinic doctors directly involved in the senator's care, report according to CNN established.

The doctors spoke directly to CNN Chief Medical Correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta. The senator underwent surgery to remove a blood clot on Friday at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix. Lab results from that surgery confirmed the presence of brain cancer associated with the blood clot.

Reacting to McCain's brain cancer report are three prominent American leaders; Bill Clinton, his wife Hillary and Joe Biden. All took to their twitter handles to express their heartfelt desire for the senator's quick recovery

Former US President, Bill Clinton took to his twitter handle @billclinton and said; "As he’s shown his entire life, don’t bet against John McCain. Best wishes to him for a swift recovery"

His wife Hillary said @@HillaryClinton said, "ohn McCain is as tough as they come. Thinking of John, Cindy, their wonderful children, & their whole family tonight"

Biden in his tweet @JoeBiden said, John and I have been friends for 40 years. He's gotten through so much difficulty with so much grace. He is strong - and he will beat this

CNN report says Glioblastoma is a particularly aggressive tumor that forms in the tissue of the brain and spinal cord, according to the American Brain Tumor Association.

A pathologist was in the operating room during the procedure, a minimally invasive craniotomy with an eyebrow incision, said his doctor, who added that the surgery lasted about three to four hours.

Cardinal George Pell: I'm Innocent - Catholic 3rd Most Senior Priest Denies Sex Abuse Charge

Cardinal George Pell, the Vatican treasurer accused of sex offences in his native Australia has vehemently denied any wrongdoing, descrbing the charge against him as "character assassination", BBC News reports.

The cleric also said the claims against him are "false".

According to BBC News, Pell said the Pope had granted him a leave of absence to fight the charges.

The charges relate to alleged "historical" incidents, police in the state of Victoria said.

The allegations were made by a number of people, said Police Deputy Commissioner Shane Patton.

Cardinal Pell, 76, who is based in the Vatican, is considered the third-ranking official in the Holy See.

He told a news conference at the Holy See: "I'm looking forward finally to having my day in court.

"I am innocent of these charges, they are false. The whole idea of sexual abuse is abhorrent to me."

The Catholic Church worldwide has in recent years faced a damaging series of allegations relating to sex abuse by priests, and claims that these cases were covered up.

The BBC's James Reynolds says the charges leave the Church - and the Pope - in an uncomfortable position.

After his election in 2013, Pope Francis created a commission to deal with allegations of sexual abuse by clerics. Now he finds that one of his closest advisers faces charges of his own.

The Vatican's child abuse response
What are the charges?

Victoria Police said they had made the decision to charge Cardinal Pell after receiving advice from prosecutors last month.

"Cardinal Pell is facing multiple charges and there are multiple complainants," Deputy Commissioner Patton said.

Details of the allegations were not revealed.

Deputy Commissioner Patton said police "process and procedures" had been no different from any other investigation.

"Cardinal Pell has been treated the same as anyone else in this investigation," he said.

The charges were served on Cardinal Pell's legal representatives in Melbourne on Thursday.

The cardinal would be required to face the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 18 July, Deputy Commissioner Patton said.

A magistrate will decide next week whether to release the details and the nature of the charges ahead of the cardinal's court appearance.

FULL Text Of President Trump Inaugural Speech

President Trume Taking Oath of Office
On Friday, billionaire businessman, Donald J. Trump, was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States of America.

After he took oath of office, he read out his inaugural speech, in which he stressed that Americans have taken back the reins of power.

Trump thanked his predecessor, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, for their cooperation throughout the transition period.

The 70-year-old also claimed his inauguration, “will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.”

Read full speech below:

“Chief Justice Roberts, President Carter, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, fellow Americans and people of the world, thank you.

We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and restore its promise for all of our people.

Together, we will determine the course of America and the world for many, many years to come. We will face challenges. We will confront hardships. But we will get the job done.

Every four years we gather on these steps to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer of power.

And we are grateful to President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama for their gracious aid throughout this transition.

They have been magnificent.

Thank you.

Today’s ceremony, however, has a very special meaning because today we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another or from one party to another, but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the people.

For too long, a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have bore the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered but the jobs left and the factories closed.

The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories. Their triumphs have not been your triumphs. And while they celebrated in our nation’s capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.

That all changes starting right here and right now, because this moment is your moment.

It belongs to you.

It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America.

This is your day.

This is your celebration.

And this, the United States of America, is your country.

What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people.

January 20th, 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.

The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer. Everyone is listening to you now. You came by the tens of millions to become part of a historic movement, the likes of which the world has never seen before.

At the center of this movement is a crucial conviction that a nation exists to serve its citizens. Americans want great schools for their children, safe neighbourhoods for their families and good jobs for themselves.

These are just and reasonable demands of righteous people and a righteous public.

But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists.

Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities, rusted out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation.

An education system flush with cash but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of all knowledge.

And the crime and the gangs and the drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential. This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.

We are one nation, and their pain is our pain.

Their dreams are our dreams, and their success will be our success. We share one heart, one home and one glorious destiny.

The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans.

For many decades we’ve enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry, subsidised the armies of other countries while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military.

We’ve defended other nations’ borders while refusing to defend our own. And we’ve spent trillions and trillions of dollars overseas while America’s infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay.

We’ve made other countries rich while the wealth, strength and confidence of our country has dissipated over the horizon.

One by one, the factories shuttered and left our shores with not even a thought about the millions and millions of American workers that were left behind.

The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes and then redistributed all across the world. But that is the past, and now we are looking only to the future.

We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital and in every hall of power. From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land.

From this day forward, it’s going to be only America first, America first. Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs will be made to benefit American workers and American families. We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our product, stealing our companies and destroying our jobs.

Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength. I will fight for you with every breath in my body, and I will never ever let you down.

America will start winning again, winning like never before.

We will bring back our jobs.

We will bring back our borders.

We will bring back our wealth, and we will bring back our dreams.

We will build new roads and highways and bridges and airports and tunnels and railways all across our wonderful nation.

We will get our people off of welfare and back to work, rebuilding our country with American hands and American labour.

Together we will make America great again.

Russian Ambassador Shot Dead In Turkey

Andrey Gennadyevich Karlov, the Russian ambassador to Turkey has been shot dead
Andrey Gennadyevich Karlov, the Russian ambassador to Turkey has been shot dead while speaking at an art exhibition in the Turkish capital, the Russian Foreign Ministry, has confirmed.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova made the announcement in a live televised statement, Sky News reports.

She said, “Today in Ankara, as a result of an attack, the ambassador of the Russian Federation to Turkey, Andrey Gennadyevich Karlov, received a wound from which he died.

“We regard this as a terrorist act. The murderers will be punished.”

The 62-year-old ambassador had been attending an art exhibition at the Contemporary Arts Centre in the Cankaya area of Ankara, along with other dignitaries and media.

The gunman was Mevlut Mert Altintas, a 22-year-old who had been working for the riot police squad in Ankara for the past two-and-a-half years.

He was off-duty when it was  understood he entered the building using his police ID and opened fire on the ambassador as he made a speech.

A video showed him shouting, “Don’t forget Aleppo, don’t forget Syria! So long as our brothers are not in safety, you will not taste safety either. Only my dead body will leave here.

“Whoever is involved in this cruelty, one by one, you will pay for it.”

The gunman also shot three other people, although none were seriously injured, according to Turkey’s interior ministry.

Turkish media said he then climbed to the second floor of the building before a 15-minute shootout with police, during which he was killed.

A photographer from Associated Press who had been at the exhibition said the gunman had been wearing a suit and tie and had shouted “Allahu Akbar” before firing at least eight shots.

He had also spoken in Russian and smashed several of the photos in the exhibition.
